Masonic Notes .

It will have been seen from our report of the proceedings in Grand Lodge on the gth instant , that the consideration of the important question of amalgamating the Colonial Board with the Board of General Purposes has been postponed till December . This is about the best course that could have been adopted . The proposal , in whatever form it mi ght have been adopted by Grand Lodge , could not have been acted upon until it had been confirmed at the Quarterly Communication next ensuing , and it is unlikely that Grand Lodge would go out of its way to disturb the existing order of things until June , 1896 , when the Board of General Purposes , as at present constituted , will be dissolved , and a new one chosen in its stead . In the meantime the Board will be able to consider the subject in all its bearings , and produce a scheme which will at once commend itself to the acceptance of Grand Lodge . # # #

For ourselves , it appears to be a matter of little or no importance whether colonial Masonic questions are dealt with by a Committee of the Board of General Purposes told off for the purpose , or , as now , by a

It will have been seen from our report of the proceedings in Grand Lodge on the gth instant , that the consideration of the important question of amalgamating the Colonial Board with the Board of General Purposes has been postponed till December . This is about the best course that could have been adopted . The proposal , in whatever form it mi ght have been adopted by Grand Lodge , could not have been acted upon until it had been confirmed at the Quarterly Communication next ensuing , and it is unlikely that Grand Lodge would go out of its way to disturb the existing order of things until June , 1896 , when the Board of General Purposes , as at present constituted , will be dissolved , and a new one chosen in its stead . In the meantime the Board will be able to consider the subject in all its bearings , and produce a scheme which will at once commend itself to the acceptance of Grand Lodge . # # #

For ourselves , it appears to be a matter of little or no importance whether colonial Masonic questions are dealt with by a Committee of the Board of General Purposes told off for the purpose , or , as now , by a
