The lodge having been closed , the brethren adjourned to an excellent banquet at the Corn Hall , presided over by the W . M . After the usual loyal and Masonic toasts had been proposed and duly honoured , Bro . Hulland proposed the special toast of the evening—that of " The W . M ., Bro . E . W . Lynch . " He said Shakespeare had bidden them in one of his plays to" welcome the coming , speed the parting guest , " and he appreciated very highly the privilege which had been accorded to him of performing the former task , and in being
that evening the mouthpiece of the meeting to express the thanks of the brethren that Bro . Lynch had again consented to fill the chair . Fidelity Lodge was in that connection under deep obligations to him . He ( the W . M . ) had a long and honourable family Masonic tradition to maintain , and right worthily had he done so . He had filled every office in the lodge , and carried out the duties appertaining to each with zeal and dignity ,
bringing to bear upon his work a thorough earnestness of purpose , and at all times an anxiety to further the cause of the Craft and the best interests of the lodge . He ventured to bespeak for him the hearty support of the brethren during his tenure of ofiice , and to prophesy a record year of prosperity . Hc had nominated as officers true and trusty Masons , who had in thc past proved their capacity , and that augured well for success in the coming year .
The W . M ., in reply , said he was proud—very proud—of the position which he occupied , and he thanked the brethren , not only for the kind manner in which the toast had been proposed and its enthusiastic reception , but also for the very many kindnesses he had received throughout the whole of his Masonic career . Having already occupied the chair of K . S ., he was cognisant of the duties and grave responsibilities which devolved upon him . He appreciated thc trust reposed in him , and he would spare no efforts to study and further the best interests of the Fidelity Lodge and of Masonry in general . Me was confident that those efforts would be most heartily supported by the excellent Masons who had done him the honour to accept ofiice under him .

Pilkington , Dutton , Andrews , Brunger , Bryant , Key , and others .

BRO . W . D . HENDERSON , P . M ., P . PROV . G . REG . N . WALES , lt is with profound regret that wc record thc death of Bro . W . D . Henderson solicitor , and a member ot the firm of Messrs . Henderson , Pritchard and Co . which took place on thc morning of Wednesday , the 13 th instant . The news was not unexpected , and , therefore , did not create the sensation which it otherwise would havc done had the circumstances not been known . The deceased was one of the most respected gentlemen in the town of Llandudno . He was not only
respected , but popular with all classes of the community . His geniality and cordial disposition , his anxiety to promote the success of every movement which had for its object the advancement of any good cause or the alleviation of distress amongst humanity , together with many other good qualities , won him friends and admirers everywhere . For many months it was a well-known fact that Bro . Henderson , who was on the threshold of his 40 th year , was suffering from an
internal complaint which was incurable . Nevertheless , his numerous friends clung to the hope that the operation which he underwent would have extended his life for some years . In this respect , however , they were disappointed . Though he realised better than anyone else that his days had been numbered Bro . Henderson bore his fate even to the very last with the fortitude that had at all times characterised his whole life . He cared nought for his own troubles but
