Royal Masonic Institution For Boys.

sure it mig ht with confidence be left in the hands of the Board of Management ; they wore responsible to the subscribers to the Institution ; they were elected by a purely democratic vote by the subscribers ; they were very well versed in the value of the site and of the building ; they were men of

business , and would take very good care that it they thought it advisable to move , that site and those buildings should fetch their full value , and the brethren mig ht be quite certain that in anything they did thev would have regard to the important interests of the School ,

and they would not remove at all unless they were clearly convinced that by so doing the Craft would be enabled to maintain more boys in future in a healthier and better place at less cost than at present . He thought hc had now said enough to recommend this Institution to thc brethren ' s most

charitable and fraternal instincts ; he believed that in aiding it they would be doing a thoroughly good work . He had endeavoured to the utmost of his power to look into its accounts and into its management . He was convinced that it was now honestly and ably managed , that if in regard to

those obligations of Charity and sympathy which were pre-eminently strong upon them as Masons to give a little more than they could fairly afford to this Institution , they would be doing that which they would never regret , and they would be repaid by the credit that the sons of poor and deceased members would be to the Craft .

Bro . GEORGE P LUCKNETT , lreas ., responded , and said he had had the honour of being connected with the Institution some 25 years , and there never was a time when it was so well managed and so prosperous , or when the bovs' education was so well attended to . They were brought up to take

a good position in life . If there was anything at all wanting at the Institution he was persuaded the Board of Management would sec to it . Bro . J . M . MCLEOD then read the following
