The ex-pupils' day at the Girls' School ( the last Saturday in June ) was this year eminently successful . Some 60 or 70 former pupils visited their old School . T » I .. ! c __ 1 t . __ : .: — 1 1 : 1 weainer uiucu aiiiuidLiuu tia

However , if the Return is larger than there were grounds for expecting , so much more creditable is it to thc brethren who bore the heat and burden of thc canvassing , and so much more gratifying must it

Masonic Notes .

By the kindness of Bros . Frank Richardson and J . H . Matthews , the girls of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls who passed the recent Cambridge Local Examination had , with their Head Governess

and Matron , a most enjoyable outing on Monday last . Leaving Clapham Junction betimes they made an early arrival at Windsor , where , by special favour , they were shown portions of the Castle . After dinner thc

whole party , 20 in number , embarked on a steam launch , and greatly enjoyed the run , in lovely weather , to Sunbury , where Mrs . Matthews received and entertained them for a long and pleasant evening , and one the little people will not forget .

announced by the Secretary in the hall on Wednesday , amid the enthusiastic cheers of the guests—that is to say upwards of , £ 12 , 20 . * . * * *

However , if the Return is larger than there were grounds for expecting , so much more creditable is it to thc brethren who bore the heat and burden of thc canvassing , and so much more gratifying must it

have been to the R . W . the Chairman of the evening , Bro . Sir Michael E . Hicks-Beach , Bart . Nor will his feeling of gratification be less when , on glancing down the Stewards' lists , hc finds that his own Province of ^ .. ... 1 .- 1 . 1 1 . . . u , inemseives iu sutu
