He should take back to Africa very lively recollections of that meeting , and of all those who were present , and should remember how svell he had been entertained , and svhat kindly feeling had been shosvn . Wherever he svent he found the same true Masonic
spirit . He did not ask them to visit Africa to come to his lodge , but pressed any of those vvho were present , if ever at Free-Town , to let him knosv , so that he could give them a welcome similar to the one he had received . The Worshipful Master next proposed "The Officers , " and said he could assure their visitor that every officer of the lodge could work the Three Degrees as svell as he

Bro . J . G . Stevens . VVhen Bro . J . G . Stevens rose to reply for "The
Masonic Charities , " he thanked the brethren for their liberal spirit , and Bro . J . Kinipple for his successful efforts . He referred to the good svork already done on behalf oi the Charities by a lodge comparatively so young , and svished that the same admirable spirit might be evinced by all
lodges . All the Charities svere good , but he would most strongly appeal for the " Old People , " svho svere too old and past work to help themselves . During the intervals Bros . At the banquet table the VVorshipfuI Master proposed the usual loyal and Masonic toasts , and in the toast of " The Grand Officers " he feelingly referred to the great loss the Craft had sustained in the death of the Pro Grand

He also pointed out the very large amount of time that svas sacrificed for the los'e of Masonry by the Grand Officers ; busy men , svhose time was very valuable , were alsvays ready to give of their best to aid the grand cause sve all have at heart . In proposing " The Worshipful Master , " Bro . George Everett , I . P . M ., referred to the splendid working that the

He svas most delighted svith the svorking of the lodge . He had visited many lodges in Africa , on the
continent , and in England , but never had seen the svork done more efficiently . The cool , quiet , thoughtful delivery of the W . M . svas simply marvellous .
The Worshipful Master next proposed "The Officers , " and said he could assure their visitor that every officer of the lodge could work the Three Degrees as svell as he
could , some of them perhaps better . The advantage vvas that they all svent to school together , and so perfected themselves . He was glad to see Bro . Folkard , J . VV ., back among them again . Bros . Westley , S . W . ; Folkard , J . W . ; and Steele ,
