Lee and Horace G . Banks , Stwds . j and J . Very , Tyler . The usual addresses were rendered by the

Installing Master , Bro . Oscar Von Holtorp , I . P . M ., in a very careful and feeling manner that was much appreciated and enjoyed by the brethren , A handsome P . M . ' s jewel was presented by the W . M . to Bro . Von Holtorp , I . P . M ., in recognition of the ability with which he had discharged the duties of the chair during the past year , and as a mark of the esteem in which he is held by the members . The gift having been appropriately acknowledged and routine business transacted , the lodge was closed in the usual

manner . The brethren having been photographed on the lawn , adjourned . to a substantial repast , after which the customary toasts were heartily honoured . Bro . Raymond H . Thrupp , P . A . G . D . C , in response to the toast of " I'he Grand Officers , " said he vvas glad to see the W . M . setting the good example of short speeches ,

and he should emulate him , for to expatiate upon the merits of the Grand Officers would be indeed to paint the lily white . Any vigi / ant Mason knew the good men they bad at present ruling over them and guiding the helm of Masonry , and the Grand Officers fully appreciated the kind reception they always received , and especially at the banquet table . As the D . P . G . M . of Middlesex , wherever

he went in the province he received a hearty welcome , lor which he vvas obliged . Not only as a Grand Officer , but as the D . P . G . M ., he was pleased to visit this lodge , and see the work done so exceedingly well by Bro . Von Holtorp . He had seen the ceremony done many times , but never more earnestly , more zealously , or with more genuine feeling , and he congratulated the lodge on having such a P . M ., and was sure the present W . M . would endeavour to

emulate the l . P . M . and , he hoped , equal him . He asked the officers to assist the W . M . during his year , and do al ! they could , for they would then pull together , and be one of the most happy and united lodges , as it was at present , in the province . The W . Master next gave "The Prov . G . Master and Prov . G . Officers , " and said the brethren had heard the letter read from the Prov , G . Master , expressing his regret

at bis inability . to be present , and they would agree that no Mason came into their lodge who was moreesteemed than Bro . Sir Francis Burdett . He was gratified at the expressions of the Dep . Prov . G . M ., and thanked him forthe kindly words used , vvhich vvas an assurance that the Citadel Lodge held an important position in the province . He coupled with the toast the name of Bro . Room , Prov .

G . Sec . Bro . Howard H . Room , Prov . G . Sec , said he felt almost sorry that his name had been coupled vvith the toast , because they had been deprived of the pleasure of seeing their Prov . G . Master that evening . He could assure them it afforded him great satisfaction to have the honour of returning thanks for the kind way they had received

the health of so distinguished a body of Masons , and which was well represented in that lodge . Wherever he went in the province he found good , worthy , and zealous Masons , wearing the purple , and whenever he had to respond , it was a great pleasure , not only on their behalf , but also on his own , to return thanks for a reception which he esteemed very highly , and was verv proud of . It was

part of his duty to visit the lodges and ascertain what manner of men were in the province , in order that he might give his testimony to the Prov . G . Master , and from what little he had seen in the province , having visited half the lodges , he could see coming on men who would do honour to the purple as soon as the Prov . G . Master could appoint them . He trusted that this lodge , which , although a

young lodge , was a distinguished and very important lodge , would , in the future , be able to supply a large proportion of the Prov . G . Officers in the province . He would content himself with thanking them for the kind way in which the toast had been proposed and received . Bro . Von Holtorp , I . P . M ., said that for a short period at every meeting the gavel passed from the hands of the

brother in the chair for the purpose of allowing the l . P . M . to give " The Health of the W . Master . " He knevv it was a toast they would heartily receive , for Bro . Gaskin had been known to them for many years , and they had seen him work up through the various offices , and were sure he would perform the duties of W . M . in the same able manner , and , he trusted , vvith the same satisfaction to the

brethren , as the P . M . ' s had done . He asked the brethren to drink to the health of the W . M ., expressing their hearty good wishes towards him . Bro . Jas . H . Gaskin , VV . M ., thanked the l . P . M . for his kind words and the brethren for their reception of the toast . The kindly consideration he had always received from the members had afforded him the assurance that he

should have their entire support during his year . He was pleased to find the Prov . G . Officers speaking so highly of the working , which vvas a great encouragement to him , knowing he had a good list of officers . He trusted their lodge would become second to none in the province . " The Visitors " was cordially given , and responded to by Bros . Cator , W . M . 1365 , and Charles Derring , VV . M .

1602 . The W . M ., in submitting the toast of " The Installing Master , " said that in all the eulogiums passed by the Prov . G . Officers on the working of the l . P . M . they had not said too much for the able manner in which he performed the ceremony that evening , and there was the greatest amount of credit due to Bro . Von Holtorp , who was the first initiate of the lodge , and had Freemasonry

and the interest of that lodge at heart . Bro . Oscar J . Von Holtorp , l . P . M ., said he hardly knew how to reply to the many kind expressions used in reference to the manner in vvhich he had installed the W . M . He considered that ceremony was worth doing well , and had given his heart and soul to it , and tried to do it thoroughly , and if he had met vvith their approbation he

vvas more than gratified . He thanked them for the Past Master's jewel , vvhich he hoped to wear lor many years , and , although only a young Past Master , whatever he could do he should be happy to perform for the good of the lodge , and to assist the W . M . during his year . He hoped the officers would cordially support the W . M . as they had supported him ( the l . P . M . ) during the past year

and thus keep up the reputation of the Citadel Lodge . Bro . H . Room , P . G . Sec , spoke in terms of high commendation of the excellence of the musical arrangements , expressing the thanks of the brethren to Mrs . Gaskin for her charming singing , and to Miss McLaren for her excellent rendering of two violin solos , which had been heartily encored .

The W . M . acknowledged the kind remarks , and , other toasts having been given , a pleasant evening was terminated by the Tyler ' s toast . Bro . Willie Wright , Oig ., presided with his usual skill and ability at the pianoforte , and was assisted in the musical programme by Mrs . Gaskin , Miss McLaren , and Bros . J . Bayne , Woodman , and Lee .

HAMPTON COURT . — Cama Lodge ( No . 2105 ) . —A meeting was held on Monday , the 24 th inst ., at the Mitre Hotel . There were present Bros . John Read , P . P . G . O ., W . M . ; W . H . M . Davis , 1017 ; and VV . B . Riddell , 173 . The lodge having been opened , the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed . Bro . Cole was raised to the Degree of M . M . A ballot vvas taken for Mr . A . L . Marlow , as a candidate for initiation , which , proving in his favour , he vvas initiated , the ceremonies in each case being performed by the VV . M . Other business on the agenda paper having been disposed of as far as practicable , the lodge ivas closed .

BOURNEMOUTH . —Boscombe Lodge ( No . 2158 ) . —The annual meeting of this lodge was held on Thursday , the 20 th inst ., at the Masonic Rooms , Carnarvoncrescent , when Bro . John Deans , M . D ., was installed as W . M . for the ensuing year by Bro . C . T . Miles , the retiring W . M . The W . M . invested his officers as follows

Bros . C T . Miles , P . M . 195 , P . P . G . S . of W ., l . P . M . ; C . VV . Wyatt , S . W . ; J . Davidson , M . D ., J . W . ; Rev . J . R . Husband , Chap . ; J . Shepherd , Treas . j F . H .
