"Alahomed Khan , M . D ., " alias Prince Eusoof , alinn William Robert Davis , & c , & c , whose identity ami peculiarities were discussed with considerable freedom in our columns in Alarch last , seems decidedly unfortunate in his endeavours to purity the moral atmosphere of the neighbourhood of Bloomsbury . On the 1 st inst . a man ami woman were charged at Bow-street on his information with
having acted indecently near his dwelling place , No . 20 , Silver-street , and he , being the only witness , was crossexamined by Air . George Lewis , who defended the male prisoner . The witness admitted that he had brought other charges against people in that court , and that in Alarch last he had charged a relative of his , and said that the case was dismissed as he did not press the charge . After the present
prisoner was locked up he went to see his ( the accused ' s ) nephew . He could not say why he went there , but it was certainly not with the idea of obtaining money . Air . Vaughan said he well remembered the charge brought by witness against a relative . It was not dismissed because he did not press it , but because it was utterly impossible to place any reliance upon any statement made by the « vitness He hoped he would never see him at that Court again .
The last time he was there he made some strong observations about him , and he was bound to do so again . 1 he witness was utterly unworthy of credit ; the charge would therefore be dismissed . ' 1 he writer ' s recollection of the case referred to coincides with that of the worthy magistrate , and so far from not pressing the charge , the prosecutor had recourse to legal aid to enable him to do so the more effectually . He did nut , however , go into the witnessbox himself on that occasion .
