He was deeply sensible of the debt of gratitude he owed them for their loyalty to him , and through him , to the Grand Lidge of England . The happiness he had enjoyed for so many years amongst the brethren of Westland had amply repaid him in
the past , and that fresh testimony of their devotion to him would -leave another enduring memorial of their large-heartedness , their sincerity of purpose , and their attachment to the Craft . He was proud indeed of the position of English Masonry in Westland , where the lodges were most prosperous , large attendances and harmonious meetings baing the result . It was their duty to exerciss the highest aims of the Order , to inculcate the
true principles of Masonic patriotism and to be faithful to thsir solemn obligations . The pages of history in this eventful year would express the greatest feeling of loyalty the world has ever known towards a beloved monarch , and English Masons will acentuate their loyalty in their unswerving devotion to their Royal Grand Master , the Prince of Wales . Once more he desired
to tender his dear friend , B / o . Kerr , his warmest thanks for the kind words he had uttered and his faithful brethren for their handsome g ift and kind reception of him that night .
