Lande Long . Bro . Hedges ( Secretary ) also attended . A large number of brethren were present . After Bro . HEDGES had read advertisement of meeting , and produced copies of daily papers and copy of notice sent to Provincial Grand Secretaries , the minutes of Special General Court of 12 th February were read and verified . The summaries of minutes of General Committees were read for information .

Bro . FRANK RICHARDSON , P . G . D ., in proposing the re-election of Bro . Henry Smith as Treasurer , said he had great pleasure in doing so , and it was quite unnecessary to dilate on his excellent qualities , as they were so well known .

Alderman E . G . HARWOOD , Chairman of the East Lancashire Charity Committee , seconded the motion . The motion was carried unanimously . The CHAIRMAN said : Brethren , I thank you for the compliment you have paid me , and I will endeavour to discharge my duty to the best of my ability .
