He is a Life Governor of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls . He was M . P . for North Wiltshire from 1880 to 1885 , and since November in the latter 3 'ear has represented the Devizes or Eastern Division of the county . He is Parliamentary Secretary to the Local Government Board under the present administration .

Bro . J AIRD , M . P . for one of the divisions of Paddington , was initiated in the Prince of Wales Lodge , No . 259 , on the 24 th November , 1868 . In 18 77 he helped to found the Evening Star Lodge , No . 1719 , was its first Senior Warden , and in 1879 was installed in the chair of Worshi pful Master . He was installed

Nor is it among the least of the many services he has rendered to his Province that for the last 16 or 17 years he has acted as its sole Charity representative , and has been invariably successful in securing the election of its various candidates .
