The vocalists wore Mesdames A . H . AVatkins and Landsell Sims , and Bros . Do Lacy and Kenningham . The usual toasts were honoured , and altogether a most enjoyable evening was spent .

W ., announced his intention to represent the R . M . B . I . at its next festival , and will doubtless be supported by the lodge and its members . Lodge was closed early , and the brethren adjourned to refreshment , which was o ( a moderate character as compared with the " formal feasts " at present so
customary ; and , whilst affording even more pleasure to the assembled company , reserved in the hands of the treasurer the means for increased assistance of " poor and distressed" brethren . It was loudly expressed , when the hour arrived for separation , that a more enjoyable evening had not been spent in connection with the lodge for a very long period , Songc and recitations were abundant , anil some genuine talent was displayed amongst the members .

The various rooms were very tastefully decorated by Bro . Laverack , D . of C , Bro . T . N . Latliom , l . G ., and Bro . G . Osborne ; the shields , & c . which were most artistic , being the work of Bros . Laverack and Lathoin , the effect of these decorations being greatly enhanced by the judicious display of a large number of
beautiful plants , & c , which were kindly lent for the occasion by Bros . Baker and llingstou . Young , lodge steward , assisted by the willing bands of several brethren . By permission craft clothing was worn , which with the brilliant dresses of the ladies , combined with the uniform of the military brethren , made a most effective and pretty sight . Young , lodge steward , assisted by the willing bands of several brethren . By permission craft clothing was worn , which with the brilliant dresses of the ladies , combined with the uniform of the military brethren , made a most effective and pretty sight . The company separated late on Friday morning , all having thoroughly enjoyed themselves , and looking forward to another re-union at an early dale ' . This is the lirst instance in the history of the lodge of the presence
amongst them of Vhe fair sex , and the Worshipful Hasier and his brethren may well be gratilied at the result of their first effort , which will doubtless encourage tneni to essay a similar re-union at a further date , but perhaps on larger promises , so that they may have an opportunity of entertaining a larger number ol friends . Tlie regular meeting of this lodge was held on Monday evening , the 2 Stli inst ., when two military brethren were proposed as joining members , and four gentlemen
as candidates for initiation , when , after other business had been disposed of , a hearty vote of thanks to the lodge committee , and to all who hail assisted to render the ball so successful , was carried with acclamation , the Worshipful Master ( AV . Bro . A . M . AVhite , P . A . G . P ., N . and E . Yorks ., who was one ot the seven founders ) , being heartily congratulated upon his successful year of oflicc which will expire at the end of the ensuing April .
