Albert Edward Lodge ( 1208 ) , informing them that the A ' ery AVorshipful D . Prov . G . M . of Somerset , Bro . H . Bridges , Prov . G . S . B ., has appointed Thursday , October 10 , at high twelve , for the consecration of the Royal Albert and Edward Lodge ( No . 120 S ) , at the Lamb and Lark Hotel , Keynsham , near Bristol , soliciting the attendance of Masonic friends . Also a letter from Bro . Farnfield soliciting the name of a brother to represent the lodge at the Anniversary Festival in aid of the

funds of the Royal Benevolent Institution for Aged Freemasons and their AVidows , on AA eclnesday , January 28 th , 1863 . Several other letters having been read and disposed of , the lodge was closed in due form and the brethren adjourned for refreshment . After the cloth was withdrawn , the usual loyal ancl Alasonic toasts were proposed and heartily responded to , and the evening spent in a very pleasant and agreeable manner , and the brethren separated at their usual early hour .

' Tiie lodges in Ballarat unanimously passed a resolution in each lodge to the effect— " That the AV . AI . should he empowered to co-operate with the sister lodges , in affording assistance to

the Lancashire relief fund , and to draw such sum from the lodge funds as he might deem requisite . " At the close of the United Freemasons' Lodge , on Tuesday evening , 19 th instant , the AV . Af / s met together , and it was unanimously resolved that £ 50 should be presented to the fund as a donation from the Freemasons of Ballarat , each lodge contributing its share in a proportion as then agreed upon . M . to be selected by each lodge , the Board so constituted to bring up a code of bye-laws for its government . The Prov . G .
