The emergency was caused by ono or more of these gentlemen leaving England in a few days . Bro . Chambers , AV . AI ,
presided , and was supported by a large number of brethren , including most of the Provincial Grand Officers resident in the district . The minutes of the last lodge having been read , also the requisition , the ballot took place , when all the above-named gentlemen were unanimously admitted . They were then initiated , the ceremony being most correctly rendered by tbe AV . AI . Tlle candidates then invited the brethren to sup with them at the King's Head Hotel , and about 25 accepted the
