After the transaction of business the Brethren adjourned until four o ' clock , AA'hen they again assembled ancl partook of a capital banquet . On the present occasion , the chair was occupied by the AV . M ., Bro . Bowloy , supported by Bro . E . Mammatt , and Bros . Bobart , P . M ., of Ashby-cle-la-Zouch ; Butel , PJVL ; aud Bloor , P . M . of Derby . We also noticed

amongst the company present , Bros . Hancock , AV . M .. No . 920 , Stoke-upon-Trent ; Smith , London ; Jobson , Giles , and Smith , of Derby ; T . AV . McG'alhmi , Maxwell , E . Noon , ancl J . AVinson , of Belper ; Goodger , Bellamy , Thompson ,. Shenvin , Upton , Gothard , Birch , Alcock , AVhittingham , Clark , Anderson , ancl Stanley , of Burton . The toasts peculiar to the Order , ancl many others , Avere given in quick succession , and suitably responded to . The visiting Brethren ivere much pleased to hear that the Lodge is in a highly prosperous state , ancl bids ftiir to become one ofthe best in the provinces . Cherriman . having , at the last Lodge , though previously elected , declined , unexpectedly , to fill the office , ) was proceeded AA'ith , Avhen the unanimous choice of the Lodge fell

upon Bro . Moppett , J . AV . The installation will take place at the next meeting , March 1 st . The report of the General Purposes Committee was presented , read , and confirmed , sliOAA'ing a balance of about £ 50 in favour of the Lodge . A special committee was appointed to enquire into a case of recent imposition . Bros . Russell and Smith were passed to the second degree . Bro . AV . R . AVood spoke of the success attending the festival of the Benevolent Institution , and aeknoAvledged the pecuniary assistance afforded through him as Stoivard . The Lodge was closed in perfect harmony .
