AA e are glad to learn that this Lodge , Avhich during the lust three or four years has fallen into abeyance , is now resuming its former vigour , ancl bids fair to take a prominent rank in the province .

John , at their Lodge rooms , Globe Inn , Truro . The Lodge Avas close tyled at one o ' clock , the fhst degree conferred on a candidate for Masonic honours , and two brothers ivere passed to the second degree . The AV . M . assisted by the P . Ms , and the AV . Ms . of the Phoenix ancl Boscawen Lodges , opened the Lodge Avith a board of installed Masters , when Bro . N . Gilbert was duly installed as AV . M . for the current year ; Bro . Bodilly being elected Treas ., and Bro . CockTyler . Bro . Gilbert appointed Bros .

, Hugill and G . Clyma , as S . AV . and J . AV . ; Bros . Chirgivin ancl Scantlebury as Deacons ; Bro . Mann , See ., and Bro . Oke , I . G . Amongst the many pleasing features of the evening , ivas the presentation by Bro . M'Lean , of a handsomely bound Bible , ivith Masonic gilt tooling , on his vacating the chair of AV . M ., which he hacl filled for tiA-o years . The Masonic charities ivere advocated , ancl hopes expressed that more attention AA'ill be paid to their claims than heretofore . This Lodge is in a good state of working , and has a . goodly number of contributing Brethren .

TBURO . —Plimnix Lodge of Honour mul Prudence ( No . 415 ) . —The Brethren of this Lodge , Celebrated the annual festival of St . John , at their rooms in Pydar-street , on the lfth ultimo . The Lodge was tyled at noon . The following were present : —Bros . Mayne , Harris , Jenkins , Rogers , Prov . G . Sec . ; Passingham , Moyle , Marshall , Gilbert , McLean , Harvey , and AYiug ; the installing Master being Bro . Mayne , the AV . M . for the preceding year . Bro . EdiA'ard Treivborly Carlyon , S . AA ., ivas installed as the AV . AI . for tho ensuing year . The AV . AI . invested as the

, ivere made to the very flourishing state ol the Lodge , noiv numbering forty subscribing members . Especial attention ivas drawn by Bro . Mayne , P . M ., to the claims of the Alasonic Schools , and to the fact of a son of a late P . M ., Bro . Martin—Coode Michell Martin—having been elected at the last election to the Masonic Boys School . He expressed his confident hope that the Cornish Lodges—of Avhich the Phceuix Lodge may be considered as tbe first— -will respond to these appeals , and AA'ill be fount ! handsome contributors to this and tbe Girls School . The

Brethren of this Lodge are about to remove to their neiv Lodge rooms , Avhich Avill be handsomely decorated . The suite of rooms will consist of a Masonic Hall , 33 ft . by 16 ft ., and lift , high , laid out and decorated AA'ith strict Alasonic propriety ; a banqueting room , 23 ft . by Hilt ., and lift , high ; a preparing room , reception room , & c . This Lodge is rapidly increasing in numbers , and the interests of the Craft in CoruAvall are likely to be much advanced by the example of tho Brethren of this rising and nourishing Lodge .
