Loge Francaise la Tolerance ( No . 784 ) . —The Craft will undoubtedly learn with pleasure that the new practical military college of Sunbury was founded by a Brother . Captain Lendy , its founder and director , is a member of the Lodge No . 784 , the honorary secretary of which he has been for the last three years ; he also belongs to the Hoyal Arch Chapter of Joppa . All those that have had the opportunity of visiting La Tolerance , will certainly remember its spirited secretary , whose Masonic qualities endear him to all . The Illustrated London News of

July 12 th gave a description of the college , and in several periodicals most favourable mention has lately been made of the institution . We learn from good authority that hospitality is liberally understood at Sunbury , and that the numerous visitors that daily repair to the college are unanimous in the praises they bestow upon its director . The last meeting of Lodge No . 784 , on the 1 st of July last , was , by special favour , held at his residence , the magnificent grounds of which , bristling with field-works and batteries , are most interesting . Bro . Bosny de Tocqueville , the eminent teacher of languages , has been appointed the new Secretary .

Lodge of United Pilgrims ( No . 745 ) . —This Lodge of Instruction met on Friday , September 19 th , for the purpose of working the ceremony of installation , which was most ably performed by Bro . J . Thomas , to a numerous assembly of Brethren , after which the Brethren partook of a supper provided by Bro . C . Foulsham , the worthy host , which gave general satisfaction , and the evening passed off with every comfort .
