Bros . W . Cutt , E . W . Bell , S . M Thei ; W . M . appointed as his dffieers Bro . G . Fox , S . W . ; Bro . G . Purby , J . W . ; Bro . G , Wrangham , S . D . ; Bro . 0 . W . Hudson , Chaplain ; and invested them in an impressive manner . There were six initiations—Messrs . G . Faver , M . H . Cooper . W . Hind , A . Sawden , B . R . Brown , and T . Woodcock . The business was concluded at six p . m . It would be almost / impossible to describe the elegance and
admirable arrangements of the Lodge-room , situated in one of the most fashionable and delightful parts of the Quay . The labours of the few Brethren who have inaugurated the event must have been immense , and well deserve the encouragement given by Bro . the Bight Honourable Lord Londesborough , whose munificent gift of working tools in solid silver , executed by Bro . Spencer in a style to do great credit to British art and workmanship , will remain a perpetual memorial of his
lordship ' s love to the Craft , and his good feeling towards the prosperity of the Brethren at Bridlington . Bro . A . Bannister of Hull , who was the bearer of the present , assured the Brethren that the decorations , furniture , and working of the Londesborough Lodge , No . 1036 , were such as he had never before ^ wi fcnessed , and he had no doubt his noble Brother the sponsor would often come amongst them .
The first resolutions entered in the minute book of the Lodge were a cordial vote of thanks to Bro . the Bight Honourable Lord Londesborough , moved by Bro . Pritchard , seconded by Bro . Fox ; and a like tribute to Bro . D . Prov . G . M . George Marwood , for the unequalled way he had acquitted his duties—moved by Bro . B . Spencer , seconded by Bro . Fox .
THE BANQUET . The banquet was held at the Britannia Hotel ; the W . M . Bro . E . W . Pritchard , Prov . G . D ,, P . M . No . 926 , W . M . No . 236 in the chair , supported by the D . Prov . G . M . Bro . George Marwood on the left , and Bro . C . W . Hudson , Chaplain of the Lodge , on the right ; Bros . Bell , Moseley , Kuaggs , Outt , Copperthwaite , Flintoff , & o-, and about fifty of the Brethren .
Grace having been said , the B . W , D . Prov . G . M . rose to propope the first toast of every Mason , " The Queen . " Drunk with cheers , three times three , followed by the National Masonic Anthem , sung by Bros . Dove , Spurr , and Metcalfe . The D . Prov . G . M . next gave « The M . W . G .
