to the first rank as a Masonic locality . II . GEBAIJ . —Out of Gebal , then the school of the most renoAvned artificers , and the seat of the most Avidoly-extcnded Masonic mysteries of the ancient world , Avent a band of skilled artists , styled " The

Gibbites , or Stone squarers . " Avhose fidelity , experience , skill , and all artistic acquirements , are commemorated in Masonic traditions , particularly in those of tho Past Master , the -Select Master ,, etc ., as AVOII as in many a structure , Avhose ruins yet excito astonishment ancl awe . Therefore Gebal

is justly entitled to the name of Masonic locality . III . MOUNT LEBANON ' . —Out of those noble heights wont tho jireeious cedars used in the construction of the Temple ; materials AAIIOSO costliness and durability are

Working Tools of the Grand Artificer himself , Avont tho rafts of cedar beams prepared in the heights ' above , ancl freighted for Joppa , ¦ for the mighty erection at Jerusalem , This A \ 'as the chief timber depot of all this region , and justly merits the title of
