tival of the R . M . B . I . Three propositions of candidates for initiation in the lodge were received , and after "Hearty good wishes" from the visiting brethren , the lodge was closed . The brethren subsequently assembled for refreshment , when the W . M ., Bro . is . Pearson Peterson , was supported on his tight by the D . P . G . AL

After the toast of " The Queen and the Craft " had been duly honoured . The VV . M . proposed the toast of "The R . W . P . G . M ., the W . D . P . G . AL , and the rest of the Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past . " He stat"d that the visit of the Deputy P . G . AI . that cvdl" ! ' it 1 . . 1 great honour conferred upon the lodge so early m iu , existence , which was much

appreciated by the brethren . I hat was a very young lodge , and as yet had not much behind it to boast of , but the members had put their feet down , and hoped as time went on to merit the app-oval of those in authority , and the respect and good will of all the other lodges in the nei ghbourhood . The members of the lodge , in common with a'l the other lodges in the province , deeply regretted the painful and protraced illness of their esteemed P . G . AI ., Bro . T . VV . Tew , LP ..

P . G . D . England , and he ( the W . AI . ) asked the D . P . G . M . to convey to him at his early convenience the assurance from Acacia Lodge ; that almost the latest lodge that owed its existence to his consecrating hands , was not behind any other lodge in the province in respectful loyalty to , and sympathetic affection for , him ( the P . G . M . ) in his affliction . The lodge welcomed most heartily the Provincial Grand Officers , and were much encouraged and gratified by their

presence . The D . P . G . AL , Bro . H . Smith , in responding to the toast , expressed the pleasure it had afforded him to visit the lodge , and his gratification at the progress the lod ^ e had made since its consecration . He also referred to a visit he had made to the P . G . AI . on the previous dav , and regretted that he found him in such a feeble and delicate state of

health , although hopes were entertained that there might soon be a change for the better . The toast of "The Visiting Brethren" was proposed b y the Worshipful Alaster , and responded to by the W . Masters of Lodges Nos . 302 , Goo , 974 , and 101 S , and by Bros . Thos . M . Holmes , P . AI . 1545 , P . P . G . S . B ., and VVm . Oddy , P . AI . 3 S 7 , who respectively rexpressed the pleasure they had experienced in being privileged to listen to the

admirable address ot Bro . Ur . thos . Cartwright Smyth . P . G . Chap . England , and at the hearty fraternal welcome they had received at the lodge . The toast of "The Worshipful Master" was proposed by Bro . Isaac Alossnp , VV . AI . 974 , in complimentary terms , and the W . M . briefly responded . The Worshipful Alaster , in proposing the toast of " The

Ofhcersof Lodge Acacia , " remarked that this toast might , perhaps , be considered somewhat selfish , as he naturall y wished good health to all his officers , as he ( the W . AL ) would be unable to do much himself without their fraternal assistance . He coupled with the toast the names ot Bros . Last , J . VV ., and Sangwine , Stwd . He trusted the former would have health and prosperity for many years to suuoort

the lodge he had done so much to assist in founding , and that while he regretted the removal of the latter brother to another town , he wished him every prosperity in his new sphere of life . Bros . Last , J . W ., and Sangwine , briefly responded to the toast .

tival of the R . M . B .

Oddy , P .
