The annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Cambridgeshire will be held at Cambridge on Monday , the 20 th prox . The appointment of Bro . Charles Hazell , of Portishead , by the vestry on the 29 th ult . as assistant overseer of that parish was confirmed by the Long Ashton magistrates on Friday , the 13 th inst .

Bro . F . S . Jarvis , S . W . of the Zetland Lodge , No . 511 , was unanimously elected W . M . at the last meeting . We heartily wish him a most successful year of office . The W . M . elect is well-known amongst the brethren , and much respected .

The Royal Colonial Institute will hold the inaugural meeting of its 26 th session on Tuesday , the 14 th prox ., when Bro . the Earl of Onslow will read a paper on the subject of "State Socialism and Labour Government in Antipodean Britain . "

At the meeting of the Covent Garden Lodge , No . 1614 , on the 10 th instant , Bro . G . Coleman , P . M . —the first initiate of the lodge and the oldest P . M . —was unanimously nominated Treasurer , in the place of Bro . Edward Jacobs , deceased , the late Treasurer .

To-morrow ( Saturday ) Bro . W . Kuhe , P . G . O ., by arrangement with Bro . Sir Augustus Harris , will give a grand morning operatic recital at the Dome , Brighton , of Mascagni ' s " Cavalleria Rusticana . " There will be a full orchestra and chorus from Covent Garden .

Bro , the Hon . Sir Stafford Northcote , M . P ., arrived in town in the early part of this week from the Continent , for the purpose of attending the funeral of his neice , the Lady Katherine C . Northcote , youngest daughter of the Earl of Iddesleigh , who died at Pynes , Exeter , on the 21 st inst .

Bro . E . Burntt Lane , Mus . Bac , Dunelm ., P . AI . and Treas . 1765 , Org . 1692 , M . E . Z . 1745 , Organist of Bromley ( Kent ) Parish Church , has been favoured with an invitation to the dinner to be given " in honour of music " by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress at the Alansion House on the 6 th prox .

Bro . the Earl and Countess of Airlie have been entertaining a large party at Cortachy for the shooting . The Cortachy games have just been held , while the present week will not have passed without an entertainment in the shape of a ball and supper being given to the tenants in honour of the birth of their son , Lord Ogilvey .

The Court of Quarter Sessions for Mid dlesex was opened in the new Guifdhall at Westminster on the 21 st inst ., when the chairman , Bro . Littler . Q . C , congratulated the county on the completion of their enlarged premises . A saving of between L 15 , 000 and £ 20 , 000 has been effected by re-building , and the new courts are a great improvement on the old .

The statue of the Princess of Wales , executed by the Prince Victor of Hohenlohe-Langenburg , has just been placed in the vestibule of the new building for the Royal College of Music , and the Council of the College have accordingly written to the Marchiiness of Salisbury , President of the Princess of Wales ' s Statue Fund Committee , expressing their great appreciation of the gift as well as of the honour done to the College by its presentation .

The Duke and Duchess of Westminster have arrived at Grosvenor House from Eaton Hall , the former having completel y recovered from the chill contracted last week when presiding at the annual conference , at Northwich , of the Lancashire and Cheshire Institute . His Grace has forwarded a cheque for £ 500 , being the jproceeds of the fees paid by visitors to Eaton Hall , to the Chester General Infirmary .

At the last meeting of the Strand Lodge , No . 1987 , Bro . Stiles , the worthy Secretary , informed the brethren that Bro . Aubenal , a member of the lodge and the assistant to Bro . Bertini , the manager of the Criterion , was leaving London on the 16 th instant for Alonte Carlo , to undertake the management of the Hotel de Paris . The members of the Strand Lodge , and all who had

come in contact with Bro . Aubenal , and they were many , wished him every success out in the sunny South , and felt sure should any brethren of the Strand Lodge visit Monte Carlo , Bro . Aubenal would give them every attention . Bro . Aubenal has for a long time been the deputy manager of the Criterion , and his attention to the brethren at the banquets has always been much appreciated .

A private smoking concert was held at the Princess Alexandra , Nightingale-road , Lower Clapton , on Friday evening , the 20 th instant , under the presidency of R . J . Stamp , Esq ., the vice-chair being taken by G . W . Pridmore , Esq . The proprietress of this house is the widow of the late Bro . Thos . Price , and the Alasonic Fraternity assembled in full force . The programme was under the

direction of Messrs . Fenton and Baker , who provided an excellent entertainment , also an innovation in the shape of a capital string band for the accompaniments . Mr . Pridmore gave in excellent style " The Bridge " and " Four Jolly Smiths , " and Mr . F . Bowers was very amusing in " Pardonniez Moi , " whilst Alessrs . Harry Bowers , Margott , and Chas . West contributed other items . The comic

element was well sustained by Messrs . J . Jones , Will Victor , and F . Carrick , whose songs were certainly the success of the evening . "Kissing Cup ' s Race " was recited by Mr . S . B . Jones with very telling effect , and the ventriloquist , C . Darville , and M . de Lara , with his conjuring , left nothing to be desired . The usual vot * of thanks to the Chairman terminated a very pleasant evening .

The Infanta Eulalia of Spain , who is on a visit to this country , took luncheon with the Prince and Princess of Wales at Marlborough House on Sunday . The Princess of Wales and her daughters , the Princesses Victoria and Alaud , visited the Exhibition of the Institute of Painters in Water Colours , Piccadilly , on Tuesday .

The Fifteen Sections will be worked in the Prosperity Lodge of Instruction , No . 61 , on the Sth prox ., at the O'd Parr ' s Head , Knightrider-street , E . C , Bro . J . G . Milbourn , P . M . 13 , in the chair . Brethren are invited to send for the list of Alasonic Books published at the office of the Freemason . Many works of interest both to the Masonic student and general reader

have recently been added , and the publisher will gladly forward a copy to any address on receipt of a post-card . The Earl of Jersey has forwarded to Bro . Grigor , Secretary of St . John ' s Lodge , Inverness , a beautiful gold jewel , which was presented to Captain Grigor in 1774 for services rendered to the lodge . It was given to Lord Jersey while in Sydney , to be handed back to the old lodge , by the

descendants of its original owner . Wednesday , the 26 th inst ., was the 39 th anniversary of the Battle of Balaclava , which was fought on the 25 th October , 1 S 54 , as well as the 478 th of the Battle of Agincourt , which was fought on the 25 th October , 1415 . _ The survivors of the former battle celebrated the event with the usual dinner .

The Duke of York has requested that the balance of £ 89 , being the surplus of the Mansion House Fund , for the purpose of presenting his Royal Highness and the Duchess of York with a present of tapestry from the citizens and inhabitants of London on their marriage , may be handed over to the poor-box of the Mansion House Justice-room , the demands upon which will become increasingly severe as the winter approaches .

The Duchess of Albany opened an exhibition and fancy fair at Holy Trinity Schools , Harrow Green , Leytonstone , on Tuesday , in aid of the building fund of St . Alban ' s Mission Churrh . The exhibits include valuable paintings lent by the Queen , the Baroness Burdett-Coutts , and others . A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to her Royal Highness , who was very heartily cheered , both on

her arrival and departure . Representatives of the Huyshe Lodge , No . 1099 , and Elms Lodge , No . 1212 , met on the 16 th instant at Home Park , Stoke , to arrange for an amalgamated chapter of Royal Arch Alasons . Comps . W . J . Stanbury , J . W . Foster , S . H . Page , G . H . Olver , j . Allen , S . E ., S . Panter , H . W . Pengelly , and W . H . Dillon represented

the Huyshe Lodge , and Comps . VV . Sweet , A . H . Whidden , and J . Bray the Elms Lodge . It was resolved to apply for the establishment of a new chapter as the Huyshe-Elms Chapter . The Lord Alayor and Lady Mayoress , accompanied by Bro . Alderman and Sheriff Dimsdale , visited Upper

Norwood on Monday for the purpose of opening the new wing of the Cottage Hospital , which has recently been erected at a cost of £ 2000 . The civic party were received by the Mayor of Croydon , Bro . Alderman Treloar , and Mr . Tritton , and , his lordship having performed the ceremony , congratulated the inhabitants of the borough on their possession of so valuable an institution .

Bro . Past Grand Treasurer Eve is making a tour in the States , and was the guest of Mr . John O'Connor , M . P . for Kilkenny , who is one of the Royal Commissioners at the Chicago Exhibition . Bro . Eve is delighted with the World ' s Fair and his reception everywhere . He was in the Senate and Assembly at Washington , and was introduced to the President of the United States , who shook hands with the English visitor . Bro . Eve was also the guest of the Grand Alaster and P . G . Master of New York at dinner .

The British Mediterranean Squadron , under the command of Vice-Admiral Sir M . C ' ulme Seymour , having concluded its visit to Taranto , entered the port of Spezia early on Monday morning , the reception it met with from the naval , military , and municipal authorities being as cordial as that

it experienced at Taranto . When the vessels had cast anchor , the Duke of Genoa , accompanied by the captains of the ships forming the reserve squadron , visited the British Admiral , who with his principal officers subsequently returned the visit .

We regret to hear that our much respected Bro . Magnus Ohren , P . A . G . D . C , who for such a long period acted as Secretary and Alanager of the Crystal Palace Gas Company , has found it expedient through failing health to resign his important appointment . No better evidence of the estimation in which he is held could be shown than the following resolution which was unanimously passed by the Board of Directors on the 6 th inst .: " The Board received with the greatest regret the resignation of their respected

friend and Secretary , Mr . Alagnus Ohren , in consequence of his failing health : and in accepting such resignation , they desire to record their deep sense of the loss they sustain in the severance of his connection with the Company after a period of 38 years' faithful service , during which time . he fulfilled his duties to the great advantage of the Company and the entire satisfaction of the Board . " We trust Bro . Ohren may still have many years before him to enjoy his well-earned leisure .

REVIVAL OK AN OLD IRISH LOPGB OF 1 759 . —On the 14 th inst ., the Masonic Hall , Downshire-road , Newry , was the scene of an exceedingly interesting ceremony—the revival of St . Patrick ' s Lodge , No . 79 . The meetings of this old and respectable lodge , which was founded at Tandragee in the year 1759 , have for the last 30 years been held at the tour-Mile House , Donaghmore . For

several years past the surviving members of the lodge have experienced considerable difficulty in keeping the warrant alive in the district of Donaghmore . It was , therefore , with the consent of the properly-constituted authorities , determined to remove it , for better working , to Newry , and the meeting which assembled on the 14 th inst . to welcome the lodge to its new quarters was both large and thoroughly

representative . 1 he chair was occupied on the occasion by Bro . SamuelAlatchett , P . M ., P . K ., and P . P . 10 , 5 , Tandragee . In addition to the surviving members of the lodge , several brethren attended from 'Tandragee , Rathfriland , Warrenpoint , and Gilford , whilst the local muster was both large and representative . After the termination of business , the members of 79 most hospitably entertained their visitors in the banqueting chamber .

The Provincial Grand Chapter of Warwickshire will hold its next annual general convocation at the Queen ' s Hotel Coventry , on Thursday , the 9 th prox . The Princess of Wales and her daughters the Princesses Victoria and Maud landed from the Royal yacht Osborne at Port Victoria about 1 p . m . on the 21 st instant , and at once proceeded by special S . 'Uth-Eastern train to CharingCross where the Prince of Wales was in waiting to meet them . '

The Queen has again honoured the Carl Rosa Opera Company with a command to appear before her Majesty and the Royal Family at Balmoral . The performance will take place on Monday , November 13 th , and the opera selected by the Oueen for the occasion is Auber ' s " Fra Diavolo . "

The Duchess of Albany will pay a visit to Fulham to . morrow ( Saturday ) , and , after lunching with the Bishop of London and Mrs . Temple at the Palace , will proceed to lay the foundation-stone of a new church ( St . Matthew ) which is to be built near Hurlingham , on the Wandsworth Bridge-road . The Earl of Derby officiated at the opening of the Harris

Free Library and Museum at Preston , on Thursday . The building , said to be the handsomest in the borough , cost £ 100 , 000 , which has been defrayed by bequests under the will of Messrs . E . R . and T . Harris , an old Preston famil y , who also left £ 100 , 000 for a new orphanage . The Countess of Derby and the Earl and Countess of Lathom took pari in the ceremony .

Thi amusement of skating , which was so fashionable at Brighton a few years since , has been revived this season with the old enthusiasm . On Saturdays , in particular , when skaters have the advantage of a crack military band ., the large hall in West-street is crowded . _ To-morrow ( Saturday ) those who indulge in this recreation and their friends will hear a capital performance by the band of the Grenadier Guards , who will attend under the direction of Bro . Lieut . Dan Godfrey .

The Royal Navy Club of 1765 and 1785 gave their annual dinner in commemoration of the Battles of Trafalgar and Camperdown at the H 6 tel Metropole on the 21 st mstaut . Admiral Sir A . Hoskins presided , and the principal guest was the Duke of Cambridge , among the other flag officers present being Admirals of the Fleet Bros . Sir Henry Keppel and Sir E . Commerell , Sir William Dowell , Sir G . H . Richards , Bro . Sir George Willes , Sir Leopold M'Clintock , and Bro . Sir E . A . Inglelield .

Saturday , the 21 st instant , being the anniversary of Trafalgar , Lord Nelson ' s flagship , the Victory , was dressed with garlands and evergreens , in accordance with annual custom . The annual meeting of the Royal Seamen ' s and Marine ' s Orphan Home at Portsmouth was also held on the same day under the presidency of Admiral Sir H . Chads , while at St . Margaret ' s , Twickenham , Lady Louise Egerton ,

in the absence , through illness , of Lady Wellesley , presided at the distribution of prizes to the pupilsof the Royal School for Naval and Marine Officers' Daughters . A stained-glass window which had been erected in St . John ' s Church , Wolverhampton , in memory of the late Bro . George Higham , builder , of that town , who for 32 years was one of the Churchwardens , was recently unveiled by

the Right Rev . Bishop Anson . The design includes figures of St . Simeon , the Virgin Alary , and J oseph and Hannah , and at the foot is the inscription : " To the Glory of God , and in memory of George Higham , for thirty-two years Warden in this church , who entered into rest January 25 , 1893 . This window is erected by his fellow worshippers and brother Masons "

Lord Vivian , the British Ambassador in Rome , died after a brief illness , on the morning of Saturday last , having recently completed his 59 th year . His lordship had been connected with the diplomatic service , having entered the Foreign Office in 1 S 51 . Five years later he was attached to the late Earl of clarendon's mission to Paris . In 1 S 61 he went to Berlin as private Secretary to the Marqius ol Breadalbane . Subsequently , he held appointments in the

Danubian Principalities , in Egypt , Switzerland , and Brussels , and last year , on the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava being transferred as Ambassador from Rome to Paris , the deceased was nominated his successor in the former capital . The Queen , the Princess of Wales , and the King and Queen of Italy have telegraphed their condolences with bady Vivian , who has been greatly touched by their expressions of sympathy .

The publishers of " The Magazine of Art , " says The Academy , have resolved to make a fresh departure in the new volume , which commences with the November number . Henceforth , beside other novel features , they will issue a separate plate with each monthly number , being a reproduction of sime picture of current interest . The magazine will thus , in the future , contain three plates ; a photogravure or

etching as Irontispiece , and two more executed by some other process , sometimes printed in colour . For examp le , the November number will contain a photogravure of Rossetti ' s " Veronica Veronese . " an etching of tne Alhambra by Mr . Macbeth Raeburn ; and a wood engrav j ing of Fred . The Lord Chancellor ( Bro . Lord Herschell ) entertained the judges at breakfast on Wednesday , after which tne party drove to the Law Courts , which was unusually crowded with spectators , a large number of ladies being among them , anxious to witness the usual procession of judges on the occasion of the re-opening of the Courts after the long vacation . A private smoking concert was held at the Princess Alexandra , Nightingale-road , Lower Clapton , on Friday evening , the 20 th instant , under the presidency of R . J . Stamp , Esq ., the vice-chair being taken by G . W . Pridmore , Esq . The proprietress of this house is the widow of the late Bro . Thos . Price , and the Alasonic Fraternity assembled in full force . The programme was under the

direction of Messrs . Fenton and Baker , who provided an excellent entertainment , also an innovation in the shape of a capital string band for the accompaniments . Mr . Pridmore gave in excellent style " The Bridge " and " Four Jolly Smiths , " and Mr . F . Bowers was very amusing in " Pardonniez Moi , " whilst Alessrs . Harry Bowers , Margott , and Chas . West contributed other items . The comic

element was well sustained by Messrs . J . Jones , Will Victor , and F . Carrick , whose songs were certainly the success of the evening . "Kissing Cup ' s Race " was recited by Mr . S . B . Jones with very telling effect , and the ventriloquist , C . Darville , and M . de Lara , with his conjuring , left nothing to be desired . The usual vot * of thanks to the Chairman terminated a very pleasant evening .

Wednesday , the 26 th inst ., was the 39 th anniversary of the Battle of Balaclava , which was fought on the 25 th October , 1 S 54 , as well as the 478 th of the Battle of Agincourt , which was fought on the 25 th October , 1415 . _ The survivors of the former battle celebrated the event with the usual dinner .

The Duke of York has requested that the balance of £ 89 , being the surplus of the Mansion House Fund , for the purpose of presenting his Royal Highness and the Duchess of York with a present of tapestry from the citizens and inhabitants of London on their marriage , may be handed over to the poor-box of the Mansion House Justice-room , the demands upon which will become increasingly severe as the winter approaches .

The Duchess of Albany opened an exhibition and fancy fair at Holy Trinity Schools , Harrow Green , Leytonstone , on Tuesday , in aid of the building fund of St . Alban ' s Mission Churrh . Alderman Treloar , and Mr . Tritton , and , his lordship having performed the ceremony , congratulated the inhabitants of the borough on their possession of so valuable an institution .

Bro . Past Grand Treasurer Eve is making a tour in the States , and was the guest of Mr . John O'Connor , M . P . for Kilkenny , who is one of the Royal Commissioners at the Chicago Exhibition . Bro . Eve is delighted with the World ' s Fair and his reception everywhere . He was in the Senate and Assembly at Washington , and was introduced to the President of the United States , who shook hands with the English visitor . Bro . Eve was also the guest of the Grand Alaster and P . G . Master of New York at dinner .

The British Mediterranean Squadron , under the command of Vice-Admiral Sir M . C ' ulme Seymour , having concluded its visit to Taranto , entered the port of Spezia early on Monday morning , the reception it met with from the naval , military , and municipal authorities being as cordial as that

it experienced at Taranto . When the vessels had cast anchor , the Duke of Genoa , accompanied by the captains of the ships forming the reserve squadron , visited the British Admiral , who with his principal officers subsequently returned the visit .

We regret to hear that our much respected Bro . Magnus Ohren , P . A . G . D . C , who for such a long period acted as Secretary and Alanager of the Crystal Palace Gas Company , has found it expedient through failing health to resign his important appointment . No better evidence of the estimation in which he is held could be shown than the following resolution which was unanimously passed by the Board of Directors on the 6 th inst .: " The Board received with the greatest regret the resignation of their respected

friend and Secretary , Mr . Alagnus Ohren , in consequence of his failing health : and in accepting such resignation , they desire to record their deep sense of the loss they sustain in the severance of his connection with the Company after a period of 38 years' faithful service , during which time . he fulfilled his duties to the great advantage of the Company and the entire satisfaction of the Board . " We trust Bro . Ohren may still have many years before him to enjoy his well-earned leisure .

REVIVAL OK AN OLD IRISH LOPGB OF 1 759 . —On the 14 th inst ., the Masonic Hall , Downshire-road , Newry , was the scene of an exceedingly interesting ceremony—the revival of St . Patrick ' s Lodge , No . 79 . The meetings of this old and respectable lodge , which was founded at Tandragee in the year 1759 , have for the last 30 years been held at the tour-Mile House , Donaghmore . For

several years past the surviving members of the lodge have experienced considerable difficulty in keeping the warrant alive in the district of Donaghmore . It was , therefore , with the consent of the properly-constituted authorities , determined to remove it , for better working , to Newry , and the meeting which assembled on the 14 th inst . to welcome the lodge to its new quarters was both large and thoroughly

representative . 1 he chair was occupied on the occasion by Bro . SamuelAlatchett , P . M ., P . K ., and P . P . 10 , 5 , Tandragee . In addition to the surviving members of the lodge , several brethren attended from 'Tandragee , Rathfriland , Warrenpoint , and Gilford , whilst the local muster was both large and representative . After the termination of business , the members of 79 most hospitably entertained their visitors in the banqueting chamber .

The Provincial Grand Chapter of Warwickshire will hold its next annual general convocation at the Queen ' s Hotel Coventry , on Thursday , the 9 th prox . The Princess of Wales and her daughters the Princesses Victoria and Maud landed from the Royal yacht Osborne at Port Victoria about 1 p . m . on the 21 st instant , and at once proceeded by special S . 'Uth-Eastern train to CharingCross where the Prince of Wales was in waiting to meet them . '

The Queen has again honoured the Carl Rosa Opera Company with a command to appear before her Majesty and the Royal Family at Balmoral . The performance will take place on Monday , November 13 th , and the opera selected by the Oueen for the occasion is Auber ' s " Fra Diavolo . "

The Duchess of Albany will pay a visit to Fulham to . morrow ( Saturday ) , and , after lunching with the Bishop of London and Mrs . Temple at the Palace , will proceed to lay the foundation-stone of a new church ( St . Matthew ) which is to be built near Hurlingham , on the Wandsworth Bridge-road . The Earl of Derby officiated at the opening of the Harris

Free Library and Museum at Preston , on Thursday . The building , said to be the handsomest in the borough , cost £ 100 , 000 , which has been defrayed by bequests under the will of Messrs . E . R . and T . Harris , an old Preston famil y , who also left £ 100 , 000 for a new orphanage . The Countess of Derby and the Earl and Countess of Lathom took pari in the ceremony .

Thi amusement of skating , which was so fashionable at Brighton a few years since , has been revived this season with the old enthusiasm . On Saturdays , in particular , when skaters have the advantage of a crack military band ., the large hall in West-street is crowded . _ To-morrow ( Saturday ) those who indulge in this recreation and their friends will hear a capital performance by the band of the Grenadier Guards , who will attend under the direction of Bro . Lieut . Dan Godfrey .

The Royal Navy Club of 1765 and 1785 gave their annual dinner in commemoration of the Battles of Trafalgar and Camperdown at the H 6 tel Metropole on the 21 st mstaut . Admiral Sir A . Hoskins presided , and the principal guest was the Duke of Cambridge , among the other flag officers present being Admirals of the Fleet Bros . Sir Henry Keppel and Sir E . Commerell , Sir William Dowell , Sir G . H . Richards , Bro . Sir George Willes , Sir Leopold M'Clintock , and Bro . Sir E . A . Inglelield .

Saturday , the 21 st instant , being the anniversary of Trafalgar , Lord Nelson ' s flagship , the Victory , was dressed with garlands and evergreens , in accordance with annual custom . The annual meeting of the Royal Seamen ' s and Marine ' s Orphan Home at Portsmouth was also held on the same day under the presidency of Admiral Sir H . Chads , while at St . Margaret ' s , Twickenham , Lady Louise Egerton ,

in the absence , through illness , of Lady Wellesley , presided at the distribution of prizes to the pupilsof the Royal School for Naval and Marine Officers' Daughters . A stained-glass window which had been erected in St . John ' s Church , Wolverhampton , in memory of the late Bro . George Higham , builder , of that town , who for 32 years was one of the Churchwardens , was recently unveiled by

the Right Rev . Bishop Anson . The design includes figures of St . Simeon , the Virgin Alary , and J oseph and Hannah , and at the foot is the inscription : " To the Glory of God , and in memory of George Higham , for thirty-two years Warden in this church , who entered into rest January 25 , 1893 . This window is erected by his fellow worshippers and brother Masons "

Lord Vivian , the British Ambassador in Rome , died after a brief illness , on the morning of Saturday last , having recently completed his 59 th year . His lordship had been connected with the diplomatic service , having entered the Foreign Office in 1 S 51 . Five years later he was attached to the late Earl of clarendon's mission to Paris . In 1 S 61 he went to Berlin as private Secretary to the Marqius ol Breadalbane . Subsequently , he held appointments in the

Danubian Principalities , in Egypt , Switzerland , and Brussels , and last year , on the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava being transferred as Ambassador from Rome to Paris , the deceased was nominated his successor in the former capital . The Queen , the Princess of Wales , and the King and Queen of Italy have telegraphed their condolences with bady Vivian , who has been greatly touched by their expressions of sympathy .

The publishers of " The Magazine of Art , " says The Academy , have resolved to make a fresh departure in the new volume , which commences with the November number . Henceforth , beside other novel features , they will issue a separate plate with each monthly number , being a reproduction of sime picture of current interest . The magazine will thus , in the future , contain three plates ; a photogravure or

etching as Irontispiece , and two more executed by some other process , sometimes printed in colour .
