THE FREEMASONS' CALENDAR AND DIRECTORY FOR THE PROVINCE OF DURHAM . There are 32 lodges , n Mark lodges , and 12 R . A . chapters , besides other Masonic organisations , fully represented in this most compact and comprehensive little volume , the 140 pages , or more , being literally crowded with numerous particulars , respecting the eventful past or the exceedingly prosperous present of this large province in the north . The Deacons and some others commence in 1818 , a few not being mentioned earlier possibly because the Registers were incomplete , for such as the Sword Bearer and Organist were surely common prior to that year . Bro . Hudson gives a table of the " Installation Days of all the Lodges in the Province , " so that as they occur in thc
