The Grand Lodge of the State of New York in their just-ended session decided to wipe our at once the half million still owed for the Temple in New York city . The Prince of Wales , as representative of the Queen , laid the foundation-stone of the Tower Bridge on Monday afternoon . His Royal Highness , who was accompanied by the Princess of Wales , Prince Albert Victor , and the Princesses Louise , Victoria , ar . d Maud was attended b y the Great Officers of her Majesty ' s household , and escorted by the 2 nd Life Guards . On arriving at the Tower the
Royal party were received by Field Marshal Sir R . Dacres , the Constable , and other of the Tower officials , by whom they were conducted to the Pavilion , which had been erected for the occasion , and in which were gathered the chief Civic dignitaries , including Bros .
