OLD MASONIANS' ATHLETIC CLUBS .
FIRST ANNUAL SUPPER . The first annual supper of the above clubs took place on the nth instant in St . Dunstan ' s Room , Anderton ' s Hotel ; Bro . R . S . Chandler presided and was supported by a good gathering of Old Boys and their friends . Bro . Chandler at the outset expressed regret that Bro . Sholto Hare was unable to preside through
ill health . After the usual loyal toasts , the CHAIRMAN proposed in complimentary terms " The Health of V . W . Bro . E . Letchworth , President of the 6 . M C . C , and W . Bro . Sholto H . Hare , President of O . M . F . C ., " the toast being acknowledged with musical honours .
Bro . R . S . CHANDLER then remarked that a most pleasing duty had fallen to his lot to perform , and , on behalf of the members of the clubs , presented Mr . C W . Barber , the retiring Secretary of the cricket club , with a handsome travelling bag as a recognition of their appreciation of his past services , and whilst regretting his retirement , trusted that he would long continue to remain amr > ngst them . This was followed with musical honours and three rousing ch : ers .
Mr . BARKER , in acknowledging the gift , said he had been eigiged in his work of Secretary to the Old Boys'Club since its foundation in 1895 . it h id always been a great pleasure to act ( as Secretary ) , and he hoped his endeavours had given every satisfaction . He felt sure that the newly-appointed Secretary , Mr . Lumsden , would carry on the club ' s work with much interest .
The toast of the evening was then given , "The Old Masonians' Athletic Clubs , " and the CHAIRMAN * stated that the clubs had prospered sine : th-.-ir foundation , and there was no reason why they should not continu ; to do s . l , and rank amongst the best Old Associates clubs . Other toasts followed , including "The Vice-Presidents " and other officers .

He was , as they were all perfectly aware , a ' most energetic and painstaking * ofiicer , and his death was much regretted . The motion was seconded by Bro . John Tweedy , P . M ., and carried unanimously . The lodge was afterwards closed , and the visitors were entertained to supper in the spacious ante-room of the new hall . The tables were very tastefully laid , and the menu , needless to say a choice one , for the fare was put upon the table in good form , and to the entire satisfaction of the company , by the worthy hest , Bro . Shillito .
The toast list was of the usual Masonic character . Bro . R . F . Gould responded for " The Grand Lodge Officers" in a capital speech Bro . Eve , Past Grand Treasurer of England , acknowledged the toast of ' * The Provincial Grand Officers " in gcod form , and tlien gave the toast of " The Health of W . Bro . Jaye , their newly-elected W . M ., " and wished for him and his officers a good year of office .
Bro . Jaye thanked the brethren for their good wishes , and hoped , with the assistance of the lodge Past Masters and the heatty co-operation of the newly-elected officers , to have a successful year . Bro . Jaye then gave "The Health of the I . P . M ., Bro . J , Jenkins Kennett , " to whom the lodge had previously presented a Past Master's jewel . Bro . Kennett returned thanks , and made an appeal to the brethren to support the movement now being made to build a Masonic hall in Aldershot . The toast of " The Past Ma ters " was responded to by Bro . J . Youd .
The W . M . next gave " The Officers of the Lodge , " to which Bro . Marshallsay , S . W ., and Solomon , J . W ., suitably responded , and The Tyler ' s toast by Bro . Burns . 'closed the proceedings . Some capital speeches were made in responding to the toasts , Bro . Eve speaking with power and impressiveness upon the toast of " The Masonic Charities . " N > one could listen to him without being convinced th it Bro . E / e was a tru ; Mas jn , and Jieirt and soul interested in the Charities . A very enjoyable evening was spent by all present . that was very fresh and pleasing . He now haJ to cingratulate very much a dear old friend , Alderman and Sheriff Alliston , one of the most popular men in the City , on his son Paul b .-ing put in the chair of this lodge for the second time . Two nights ago he was put in the S . W . chair of the Buckingham and Cnandjs Lodge , and he hoped to see him W . M . of that lodge . Bro . Col . Clifford Probyn also responded . He was exceedingly glad to see the son of his colleague in the shrievalty occupying the chair . He hoped he would have a pleasant year of ollice . I Ie was glad to meet the whole of the family on all occasions because his association with that family during the year had been very pleasant , and he trusted it would last for many years .

of his age . The W . M ., in moving the resolution , spoke in most sympathetic terms of the loss the ledge had sustained by the sad death of Bro . Fergus . He was , as they were all perfectly aware , a ' most energetic and painstaking * ofiicer , and his death was much regretted . The motion was seconded by Bro . John Tweedy , P . M ., and carried unanimously . The lodge was afterwards closed , and the visitors were entertained to supper in the spacious ante-room of the new hall . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were given and responded to , songs and recitations being given at intervals by several brethren .
Panmure Lodge , No . 723 . On Tuesday evening , the 14 th instant , the ceremonv of the installation of Bro . J . B . Jaye as W . M . of this lodge took place at the Masonic Hall , Imperial Hotel , Aldershot , the Installing *; Master being Bro , Richard Eve . At the close of the lodge meeting the annual banquet was held , Bro . ] . B . Jaye . the new W . M ., inthe chair , being supported by Bros . Richard Eve and R . F . Gould , Past G . The tables were very tastefully laid , and the menu , needless to say a choice one , for the fare was put upon the table in good form , and to the entire satisfaction of the company , by the worthy hest , Bro . Shillito .
The toast list was of the usual Masonic character . Bro . R . F . Gould responded for " The Grand Lodge Officers" in a capital speech Bro . Eve , Past Grand Treasurer of England , acknowledged the toast of ' * The Provincial Grand Officers " in gcod form , and tlien gave the toast of " The Health of W . Bro . Jaye , their newly-elected W . M ., " and wished for him and his officers a good year of office .
Bro . Jaye thanked the brethren for their good wishes , and hoped , with the assistance of the lodge Past Masters and the heatty co-operation of the newly-elected officers , to have a successful year . Bro . Jaye then gave "The Health of the I . P . M ., Bro . J , Jenkins Kennett , " to whom the lodge had previously presented a Past Master's jewel . Bro . Kennett returned thanks , and made an appeal to the brethren to support the movement now being made to build a Masonic hall in Aldershot . The toast of " The Past Ma ters " was responded to by Bro . J . Youd .
The W . M . next gave " The Officers of the Lodge , " to which Bro . Marshallsay , S . W ., and Solomon , J . W ., suitably responded , and The Tyler ' s toast by Bro . Burns . 'closed the proceedings . Some capital speeches were made in responding to the toasts , Bro . Eve speaking with power and impressiveness upon the toast of " The Masonic Charities . " N > one could listen to him without being convinced th it Bro . E / e was a tru ; Mas jn , and Jieirt and soul interested in the Charities . A very enjoyable evening was spent by all present . that was very fresh and pleasing . He now haJ to cingratulate very much a dear old friend , Alderman and Sheriff Alliston , one of the most popular men in the City , on his son Paul b .-ing put in the chair of this lodge for the second time . Two nights ago he was put in the S . W . chair of the Buckingham and Cnandjs Lodge , and he hoped to see him W . M . of that lodge . Bro . Col . Clifford Probyn also responded . He was exceedingly glad to see the son of his colleague in the shrievalty occupying the chair . He hoped he would have a pleasant year of ollice . I Ie was glad to meet the whole of the family on all occasions because his association with that family during the year had been very pleasant , and he trusted it would last for many years .
