MIDDLESBOROUGH . —Ferrum Lodge ( No . 1 S 4 S ) . —The annual festival of this lodge svas held in the Alasonic Hall , Alartin-road , on the 14 th inst . The Hall has recently been redecorated and added to most extensively . An entirely nesv hall has been built in the rear of the old one , svhich has been converted into a refreshment room , and the adornments of the nesv lodge room are

most chaste and elegant . 'The Ferrum Lodge , although comparatively recently formed , numbers on its roll most of the leading Masons in the tosvn and neighbourhood , and is regarded as one of the best lodges in the province . At 4 . 30 , for which hour the lodge svas called , thebrethren assembled in the ante-rooms , and shortly aftersvards the Alaster , Bro . J . A . Malcolmson , assumed the gavel and opened his lodge

and called upon Bro . T . B . Whytehead , P . M ., P . S ., P . G . W ., to take the chair and proceed svith the ceremony of installation . The W . M . elect , Bro . Friend E . and Companions of the Cabbell Royal Arch Chapter , No . S 07 , at 47 , St . Giles-street , Norsvich , to H . R . H . the Prince of Wales , Grand Principal , Sandringham . We , in solemn conclave assembled , desire to congratulate your Royal Highness upon the occasion of our royal Prince Albert Victor attaining his majority , and pray the Alost High ever to continue His blessing , upon yourself and your royal family . "

A letter from Comp . G . Baxter , in reply , thanking the companions for the vote passed at the last convocation of condolence svith him and his family at the loss of his father , Air . James Baxter , svas then read by the S . E . Comp . C VV . Bacon then stated that he svas endeavouring to raise sufficient funds for a Stesvardship in the Masonic Girls ' School , and having explained its position , solicited a contribution from the chapter and from those companions svho

svere desirous of assisting him in his object . It svas proposed and seconded that a sum of five guineas should be given from the funds of the chapter , svhich proposition svas duly carried . Comp . A . J . Berry svas then elected as a Director representing the chapter at the Alasonic Association , and " Hearty good svishes" being given by the visitors present , the chapter svas closed . The companions then adjourned to the banqueting room ,

at the conclusion of svhich the usual Royal Arch , loyal , and Alasonic toasts svere duly given and acknosvledged . It svas announced in the course of the evening that the chapter , notsvithstanding its resuscitation in 1 SS 1 , svithout furniture , and since that period an entire nesv set of furniture from the Principals' robes to the smallest ornament in the chapter had been purchased ; the chapter svas nosv not only out of debt , but that a balance svas in the hands of the Treasurer , and it svas acknosvledged that this

flourishing state was mainly due to the perseverance and energy of Comp . Baldsvin , S . E ., to svhom the thanks of the companions are due . On the follosving day Comp . Green received a reply to the telegram sent to Sandringham as follosvs : — " From Prince of Wales to Geo . Green , Officers , and Companions Cabbell Chapter , No . 807 , Norsvich . — Alany thanks for your kind congratulations . " We congratulate the companions upon their flourishing state , and trust they may have a successful year .

The newly advanced brethren , in responding to their healths , expressed themselves highly pleased svith the ceremony , and the pleasure it gave them to become members of this Alark lodge . The S . W . proposed "The Health of the W . AL , who feelingly responded , and proposed " His Officers , " thanking them for their very able help in svorking the ceremony . Bros . J . Bland , J . MIDDLESBOROUGH . —Ferrum Lodge ( No . 1 S 4 S ) . —The annual festival of this lodge svas held in the Alasonic Hall , Alartin-road , on the 14 th inst . The Hall has recently been redecorated and added to most extensively . An entirely nesv hall has been built in the rear of the old one , svhich has been converted into a refreshment room , and the adornments of the nesv lodge room are

most chaste and elegant . 'The Ferrum Lodge , although comparatively recently formed , numbers on its roll most of the leading Masons in the tosvn and neighbourhood , and is regarded as one of the best lodges in the province . At 4 . 30 , for which hour the lodge svas called , thebrethren assembled in the ante-rooms , and shortly aftersvards the Alaster , Bro . J . A . Malcolmson , assumed the gavel and opened his lodge

We , in solemn conclave assembled , desire to congratulate your Royal Highness upon the occasion of our royal Prince Albert Victor attaining his majority , and pray the Alost High ever to continue His blessing , upon yourself and your royal family . "

A letter from Comp . G . Baxter , in reply , thanking the companions for the vote passed at the last convocation of condolence svith him and his family at the loss of his father , Air . James Baxter , svas then read by the S . E . Comp . C VV . Bacon then stated that he svas endeavouring to raise sufficient funds for a Stesvardship in the Masonic Girls ' School , and having explained its position , solicited a contribution from the chapter and from those companions svho

svere desirous of assisting him in his object . It svas proposed and seconded that a sum of five guineas should be given from the funds of the chapter , svhich proposition svas duly carried . Comp . A . J . Berry svas then elected as a Director representing the chapter at the Alasonic Association , and " Hearty good svishes" being given by the visitors present , the chapter svas closed . The companions then adjourned to the banqueting room ,

at the conclusion of svhich the usual Royal Arch , loyal , and Alasonic toasts svere duly given and acknosvledged . It svas announced in the course of the evening that the chapter , notsvithstanding its resuscitation in 1 SS 1 , svithout furniture , and since that period an entire nesv set of furniture from the Principals' robes to the smallest ornament in the chapter had been purchased ; the chapter svas nosv not only out of debt , but that a balance svas in the hands of the Treasurer , and it svas acknosvledged that this

flourishing state was mainly due to the perseverance and energy of Comp . Baldsvin , S . E ., to svhom the thanks of the companions are due . On the follosving day Comp . Green received a reply to the telegram sent to Sandringham as follosvs : — " From Prince of Wales to Geo . Green , Officers , and Companions Cabbell Chapter , No . 807 , Norsvich . — Alany thanks for your kind congratulations . " We congratulate the companions upon their flourishing state , and trust they may have a successful year .

The newly advanced brethren , in responding to their healths , expressed themselves highly pleased svith the ceremony , and the pleasure it gave them to become members of this Alark lodge . The S .
