Bro . James Lewis Thomas , Asst . G . D . of C , has received a letter from a friend travelling in Tunis , in which he says he has made the acquaintance of a Bro . Broadley there , who takes great interest in Freemasonry , and that the brethren there had applied to Grand Chapter for a charter for a R . A . Chapter . Through the columns of the Freemason Bro . Broadley had seen that a Bro . J . L .

Thomas took part in supporting the petition . Bro . Thomas ' s correspondent said he knew that Bro . Thomas very well , whereupon Bro . Broadley begged him to be the medium of conveying to Bro . Thomas a prese nt of a vase taken from the ruins of Carthage , as a token of brotherhood . Bro . Thomas ' s correspondent goes on to say" and which I will hand you on my return to London .

Warm as you are in supporting the tenets of the Craft I think I may say that he ( Bro . Broadley ) exceeds you in zeal , and I have never come across any one who was more interested in every way .
