Noakes for his gift to the lodge of a ballot-box . The lodge vvas then closed , and the brethren afterwards sat down to dinner , when the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured .

Ryder in such a manner as to be most creditable to himself and the lodge , and he was afterwards most warmly congratulated by
members of the Provincial Grand Lodge , not only for the impressive manner in which he gave the several charges , but the general working of the lodge . Bro . S . Wilmot , P . After some furtherformal business , the brethren adjourned to a banquet . Bro . Grunwell , the newly-installed W . M ., occupied the chair , the vice-chair being occupied by Bro . Willmot , S . W .
The W . M ., having given the usual loyal and Masonic toasts , gave "The Provincial Grand Master , " coupled with the name of Bro . Alfred Simpson , Prov . S . G . W ., who , in response , said he took that , the first opportunity he had had since his appointment to thank the brethren of the Pantiles Lodge for the way in vvhich they rallied round him at the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting , which was such a brilliant success .
The W . M . next proposed The Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Grand Officers , " vvith which he coupled the name of Bro . W . C . Cripps , who , in response , spoke of the great care , the great zeal , and the great ability the D . P . G . M . displays in the conduct of Masonic affairs . It vvas extremely gratifying to him that the first occasion of responding for this toast should be in
the Pantiles Lodge . Bro . Ryder then proposed in humorous but flattering terms "The Health of the W . M ., " a toast vvhich was drunk with much heartiness . The Worshipful Master , having suitably responded , gave "The Installing Master and Past Masters , " to which toast Bros . Ryder , Wilmot , Cripps , Simpson , and Stevenson responded .
Bro . Sidney Wilmot , in proposing "The Initiates , " coupled with the names of Bros . Walls and Howis , gave an eloquent and learned dissertation on the grand principles of Masonry . " The Health of the Visitors" was proposed by Bro . Simpson , and suitably acknowledged by Bros . Rix and Stidolph . Other complimentary toasts followed , and during the evening there was some capital harmony by Bros . Wall , Tester , Oliver , Skinner , Howis , and others .

Hogg , Treas . ; J . R . Reep , S . E . ; and F . Dangerfield , S . N . The M . E . Z ., in a very appropriate and eulogistic way , presented the P . Z . ' s jewel to Comp . H . F . Frost , I . P . Z ., who acknowledged it in fitting terms , and some further business having been transacted and communications read , the proceedings terminated . The chapter was then closed , and the companions
adjourned to the banqueting sroom , where an elegant and recherche repast awaited them . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts followed , and were duly honoured , the proceedings being enlivened by harmony from several of the companions and 'an excellent recitation by Comp . Ball , P . Z . The musical arrangements vvere under Comp . Haskins '
direction , and vvere fully appreciated . The meeting was considered by all present as a very happy and delightful re-union , the only shade ( if any ) cast throughout the proceedings being the allusion of the M . E . Z . in touching terms to those Past Principals whom death had removed from the ranks during the period that had elapsed since the last installation meeting .

The W . M ., having given the usual loyal and Masonic toasts , gave "The Provincial Grand Master , " coupled with the name of Bro . Alfred Simpson , Prov . S . G . W ., who , in response , said he took that , the first opportunity he had had since his appointment to thank the brethren of the Pantiles Lodge for the way in vvhich they rallied round him at the Provincial Grand Lodge meeting , which was such a brilliant success .
The W . M . next proposed The Deputy Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Grand Officers , " vvith which he coupled the name of Bro . W . C . Cripps , who , in response , spoke of the great care , the great zeal , and the great ability the D . P . G . M . displays in the conduct of Masonic affairs . It vvas extremely gratifying to him that the first occasion of responding for this toast should be in
the Pantiles Lodge . Bro . Ryder then proposed in humorous but flattering terms "The Health of the W . M ., " a toast vvhich was drunk with much heartiness . The Worshipful Master , having suitably responded , gave "The Installing Master and Past Masters , " to which toast Bros . Ryder , Wilmot , Cripps , Simpson , and Stevenson responded .
Bro . Sidney Wilmot , in proposing "The Initiates , " coupled with the names of Bros . Walls and Howis , gave an eloquent and learned dissertation on the grand principles of Masonry . " The Health of the Visitors" was proposed by Bro . Simpson , and suitably acknowledged by Bros . Rix and Stidolph . Other complimentary toasts followed , and during the evening there was some capital harmony by Bros . Wall , Tester , Oliver , Skinner , Howis , and others .
