ILFRACOMBE . —Concord Lodge ( No . 1135 ) . — The brethren of this lodge observed the annual festival of St . John the Baptist on Monday , the 25 th ult ., at the New Masonic Hall in High-street , which had been opened during the past month . This commodious and elegant lodge-room is in the centre of the handsome block of buildings recently erected by Bro . Catford , P . M ., and great credit is due to

him for the zeal he has displayed in the interests of the Order by devoting such a site for the purposes of Masonry , also to Bro . Capt . Irving , P . G . Steward , and other active members of the lodge for the trouble they have taken in furnishing and fitting it up for the use of the Craft . This lodge-room is not only a great acquisition to the town and neighbourhood , but an ornament to the province . The installation

of the W . M . elect , Bro . Albert St . Paul , P . M ., was performed by Bro . Samuel Jones , P . P . J . G . W ., who is the founder of the lodge , and has undertaken that duty for 21 consecutive years . The W . M . appointed his officers tor the year , and the brethren adjourned to the llfracombe Hotel , where a sumptuous and elegant banquet had been provided by Bro . Glover , the manager , f he usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured .

PORTSMOUTH . — United Service Lodge ( No . 1428 ) . —The brethren of this lodge assembled at the Masonic Club on Friday evening , the 13 th inst ., for the purpose of installing Bro . James Ruddy as W . M , in succession to Bro . Joseph Mitchell . The lodge was opened by the W . M ., and the usual routine business having been concluded , Bro . Ruddy was presented to the W . M . to

to the banqueting hall , where the excellent catering of Mr . W . Maybour was highly appreciated . After the usual Masonic toasts had been duly honoured , several songs were given in good style by Bros . Sylvester , South , Mitchell , Banning , Myers , and Ruddy , and an enjoyable evening was spent .

John the Baptist on Monday , the 25 th ult ., at the New Masonic Hall in High-street , which had been opened during the past month . This commodious and elegant lodge-room is in the centre of the handsome block of buildings recently erected by Bro . Catford , P . M ., and great credit is due to

him for the zeal he has displayed in the interests of the Order by devoting such a site for the purposes of Masonry , also to Bro . Capt . Irving , P . G . Steward , and other active members of the lodge for the trouble they have taken in furnishing and fitting it up for the use of the Craft . This lodge-room is not only a great acquisition to the town and neighbourhood , but an ornament to the province . The installation

W ., who is the founder of the lodge , and has undertaken that duty for 21 consecutive years . The W .
