We trust that this new departure may be the means of making the lodge more popular and attractive .
Lodge vvas opened , and Bro . H . C . Stevens having been passed to the Second Degree , the W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Bolton , P . Morgan's usually excellent manner . After dinner , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were proposed by the W . Master , and honoured by the brethren present . The toast of " The R . W . the Grand the Pro and Deputy Grand Masters , and the rest of the Grand Officers , Present and Past , " vvas given by the W .. / 1 ., who expressed his opinion that the Grand Officers vvere worthy of the high
offices respectively held by them , and that , as they took so much interest in their duties , and carried them out so satisfactorily , he trusted they might long be spared to continue to render that good service in the future as they had in the past . The Worshipful Master then , in felicitous terms , proposed "The Health of the Visitors , " coupling with it the names of Bros . Dilley , jun ., G . Skudder , E . Eagle , and W . Martin .
'lhese brethren having responded , the I . P . M . proceeded to propose the toast of "The Worshipful Master , " saying the choice of the brethren had fallen upon a very worthy Mason in Bro . Vail , and by his work in the past they had an assurance that the credit of the Excelsior Lodge vvould be maintained , and he concluded by wishing the Worshipful Master a prosperous and happy year ot office .
The Worshipful Master , in reply , thanked the brethren for the hearty and spontaneous manner in which his health had been given and received , and he trusted , by a diligent attention to the duties as Master of the lodge , he would still maintain the kind feelings of the brethren , and incompetent as he lelt himself to discharge the duties , looking back to the good work done by his predecessors , still he
would not permit himself to be excused , but would give every possible attention to the work devolving upon him , so that the lodge might | by his efforts lose none of its lustre . The Worshipful Master then presented Bro . H . T . Fryer , I . P . M ., with a handsome P . M . 's jewel , in the name of ihe lodge , and in recognition of the vamable services
rendered by him as its Master during the past year . The toast of " Bro . Fryer's Health" having been given , received , and responded to , The Worshipful Master proceeded to propose the remaining toasts— "The Past Masters " and " lhe Officers of the

We trust that this new departure may be the means of making the lodge more popular and attractive .
Lodge vvas opened , and Bro . H . C . Stevens having been passed to the Second Degree , the W . M . vacated the chair in favour of Bro . Bolton , P . W . the Grand the Pro and Deputy Grand Masters , and the rest of the Grand Officers , Present and Past , " vvas given by the W ..
