P . A . G . D . C , that brethren attending Grand Lodge should be furnished with printed copies of the minutes of any previous Quarterly Communication when due for confirmation . Grand Lodge passed certain expenditure which had been incurred for the fittings and furniture of their newly-erected premises , and which the Board of General Purpose's recommended . On the

advice of Grand Registrar the appeal of a Bro . Coxon—who had been installed W . AL of a lodge in Queensland , but who turned out to be disqualified by reason of his not having served the office of Warden for a year in any lodge—against the ruling of the * District G . Master of Queensland to the effect that thc proceedings at « uch installation meeting were null and void , was

By far the most interesting event of the year occurred in May , ' when H . R . H . the Duke ' of Connaught ' , AI . W . Past G . Master , representing H . R . H . the Prince of Wales , M . W . G . Alaster , visited Bushev , in the counlv of Herts , lor the purpose of laying the foundation-stones ( 1 ) of the new Boys'School buildings , and ( 2 ) of the chanel , which is being erected at the

cost of Bro . C E . Keyser , P . G . D ., Treasurer of the Institution but this is relerred to in its proper place' in the Section devoted to " Our Institutions . " Pun though the most interesting and important it is very far from being the only event that is worthy of being included in this survev , and among the most prominent will be found that which took place' at Leeds on Wednesdav , the

1 Sth July , when the Earl of Warwick , Deputy G . Master of England , in the presence of Bro . the Right Hon . W . L . Jackson , M . P ., and his oflicers and the brethren of his Province of West Yorkshire and manv visitors , laid the- corner-stone of the new Alasonic Hall , which is being erecle-d in that city for the comfort

and convenience * of the Craft . A special meeting of the Prov . G . Lodge was held on ( he occasion , and on the : entrance of his lordship , accompanied bv a number of Grand Lodge Officers , he was saluted and presented wilh an address of welcome . Thc brethren then marched in proce-ssion to the site of the' new Hall , where the ceremonv was performed in accordance wilh ancient

custom . A banquet followed at the Town Hall , under the presidency of the Prov . G . Alaster , the- heartiest Yorkshire Masonic welcome being exti'iided to the honoured guest of the day . Several othe-r meetings have' been held in different parts of the country lor a similar purpose , among them being one that took place at Hornsea on the 17 th Januarv when Bro . AL' C .
