Particular interest appears to have been taken in this year's meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Wiltshire , which was held at Swindon , on the oth inst , at the invitation of the Royal Sussex Lodge of Emulation , No . 355 . The reason is not far to seek . The entertaining Iodge has recently established itself in SATURDAY , NOVEMBER 19 , 18 9 8 .
new quarters at the Town Hall , the hall and ante-rooms of which have undergone such alterations and decorations as fit them for Masonic gatherings , and the work has been so admirably carried out under the direction of Bro . E . H . Pritchett , the architect , as to elicit the warmest commendation from Bro . the Earl of Radnor ,
Prov . G . Master , Advantage wa ? , therefore , taken of the Provincial meeting to solemnly dedicate the new quarters of the lodge at Swindon to the purposes of Masonry , and the ceremony was impressively carried out by Bro . Lord Radnor and his principal officers .
Subsequently , the usual business of Prov . G . Lodge was dealt with and the new ollicers were appointed for the ensuing year , among the recipients of the Provincial purple being the architect of the new hall , who was appointed to the ollice of Prov . G . Supt . of Works .

We briefly announced last week that the annual meeting of the Prov . G . Lodge of Cambridgeshire will be held at the Masonic Hall , Cambridge , on Monday , the 28 th inst ., at 5 . 45 p . m . The entertaining lodge is that of the Three Grand Principles , No . 441 , and the
customary banquet—tickets for which ,, at 12 s . 6 d ., inclusive of wine , must be applied for not later than Thursday , the 24 th inst . —will be held at the Lion Hotel at 7 p . m . We note in the paper of agenda that Bro . T . Watts , Prov . G . Treas ., has given notice of
motion to vote ( 1 ) the sum of 15 guineas to the Cambridgeshire Masonic Charity Association for current expenses ; and ( 2 ) a sum of 20 guineas to one or more of the Royal Masonic Institutions , to be paid through the Provincial Association . We may mention that
the Great Eastern Railway Company have very kindly consented to issue return tickets fiom Wisbech , Ely , and Newmarket at a single fare and a quarter , available on day of issue only , to brethren attending the meeting , " for not less than six first-class and 10
thirdclass travelling together . " We have no doubt that the proceedings will , as usual , pass off satisfactorily , and that the Prov . G . Master will be in a position to congratulate the lodges and brethren on the progress that has been made during the past year . * * *

M . briefly conveyed to the brethren the regret which his Royal Highness experienced at his inability to be present and the pleasure it gave him to hear that Mark Masonry was prospering in the Province over which he had the honour to preside . There were , as Bro . the Dean of
Battle had the satisfaction of pointing out , an increased list of members , a strengthened condition of the funds , and " decided improvement all round " in the manner in which the duties of the Mark lodges on the roll were carried out . We trust that Sussex may have a long continuance of this prosperity .
» * * A convocation of the District G , Chapter of Burma was held at the Masonic Hall , Rangoon , in June last , when Comp . Dr . N . N . Parakhl , Dist . G . J ., presided as G . Superintendent , and took the opportunity of referring in terms 01 the greatest sympathy to the loss which Royal Arch Masonry in the District had
sustained through the untimel y death of their lamented Comp . Donald G . Macleod , who had been G . Superintendent of the District since 18 93 , and who by his ability and kindness had endeared himself to the whole body of Masons in Burma . The remarks were greatly appreciated by the companions present , and we have no doubt will be similarly appreciated by all who reid them in the pages of the Indian Masonic Review .
