Whitting , was , unfortunately , prevented from attending the banquet by a recent domestic bereavement , and the retiring M . E . Z . presided in his stead . The usual toasts were submitted .
In proposing the toast of " The . M . E . G . Z . and the rest of the G . Officers , Present and Past , " Comp . Brazier heartily congratulated Comp . Le Feuvre on his restoration to health , and hoped he might be induced to retain his position as Prov . G . H . in the Prov . G . Chapter . The statement made by Comp . Le Feuvre , in responding , that he had consented to remain at his post , was received with evident satisfaction by all present . He complimented the chapter on its present position , and on the years of unexampled prosperity it had enjoyed .
In responding to the toast of his health , the l . P . Z . made a touching allusion to the cause of the M . E . Z . ' s absence , and an earnest appeal to the companions to continue the support they had given during the past year . Their proceedings had been characterised by concord and a generous appreciation of any efforts made for the good of the chapter .

A SERIES OF CINDERELLA DANCES IN AID OF THE MASONIC CHARITIES .
The first of a series of Cinderella dances in aid of the Masonic Charities , promoted by Bros . Arthur J . Rippin and H . Williams , of the Lion and Lamb Lodge , No . 192 , for which about 200 tickets were sold , took place on Thursday , the ioth inst ., in the Great Hall of Cannon-street Hotel , when about 140 or 150 ladies , gentlemen , and brethren , put in an appearance , and spent a most enjoyable evening , dancing commencing at seven , and being kept up with great spirit until ii . 3 ° .
The M . Cs . were Bros . Duncan , Bassett , Rippin , and Williams , assisted by a large number of stewards . Tbe next will be held on Thursday , December 8 , and for which particulars and tickets can be obtained of Bro . Arthur J . Rippin Hon . Sec , 56 , Dalkeith-road , Ilford , Essex . BRO . JOHN MOXON CLABON . We regret to announce the death of Bro . Jno . Moxon Clabon at Sevenoaks who was formerly solicitor to the Attorney-General in ex-officio Charity matters ' and solicitor to the Charity Commissioners . Bro . Clabon was some years ago a very prominent figure in Grand Lodge , in which he was appointed Grand Deacon in 1866 , and a . generous supporter of the Charitable Institutions .

Dennis died in Carnarvonshire , whither he had gone for the benefit of his health . Campbell went into the chair , and rehearsed the ceremony of passing . The W . AI ., Bro . Gawthrop , delivered the charge in the First Degree . Bro . Fraser then resumed the chair , and Bro . Payne having been elected a joining member , a vote of thanks was unanimously accorded Bro . Fraser , who , although a very young member of the Craft , is evincing considerable interest in the working .

BRO . JOHN MOXON CLABON . We regret to announce the death of Bro . Jno . Moxon Clabon at Sevenoaks who was formerly solicitor to the Attorney-General in ex-officio Charity matters ' and solicitor to the Charity Commissioners . Bro . Clabon was some years ago a very prominent figure in Grand Lodge , in which he was appointed Grand Deacon in 1866 , and a . generous supporter of the Charitable Institutions .
BRO . W . C . DENNIS . There was a large attendance recently at the funeral of Bro . William Crawshay Dennis , at Pilton Church , Barnstaple . Bro . Dennis died in Carnarvonshire , whither he had gone for the benefit of his health . BRO . T . R . LORD . Last week , at Locksbrook Cemetery , the remains of the late Bro . Thomas Robert Lord were interred . Deceased was for many years connected with the tailoring firm of Messrs . Marshall and Lord , Millsom-street , having not long survived two other principals—Mr . John Lord ( his brother ) and Alderman C . F . Marshall . The service was conducted by the Rev . Forster Morris , curate of Walcot , and several old friends joined in the corteee .
