The remarkable Masonic history of the brother whose patronymic distinguishes the Iodge is most interesting , and is as follows * . Waller Rodwell Wright , only son of Mathias Wright of Bury St . Edmunds , Suffolk , Esq ., entered at Lincoln's Inn on the 23 rd November , 1 793 , at one time Consul in the Ionian Islands . In 1 S 14 appointed President of H . M . High
Court of Appeal and Senior Member of the Supreme Council of Justice in Malta . Died , 20 th April , 1826 . Initiated in the now extinct Royal Edwin Lodge , No . 193 . at Bury St . Edmunds , on the 23 rd October , 1 S 00 . Joined the Lodge of A ntiquity , No . 1 , London , on the 26 th November , 1 S 00 . Joined the Prince of Wales ' s Lodge , No . 259 , London , on the iSth December , 1801 . He was one of the three distinguished Masons who , on behalf of the Oiiginal Grand Lodge of England , assisted in preparing the Articles of Union with the rival Grand Lodge , and one of the four who signed those
articles in 1 S 13 . At that time he was the Second Principal of Grand Chapter , the others being H . R . H . the Duke of Sussex , and Bro . John Aldridge . ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS .
The first meeting of the Board of Stewards for the 103 rd Anniversary Festival was held-at Freemasons' Hall on Friday , the ioth instant , Bro . Charles E . Keyser , P . G . D ., Patron and Treasurer of the Institution , was in the chair , supported by about 35 Stewards . The SECRETARV of the Institution reported correspondence he had had
with the Brighton Railway Company by which it appeared the company declined to allow privileges enjoyed in former years on the extended time for return journey whenever the Festival had been held at Brighton , and had also increased the fare by 33 !* per cent . He also reported the result of enquiries with reference to other places available for the meeting , and letters from Stewards unable to attend the meeting .
Considerable discussion followed , and it was ultimately resolved , with practical unanimity , to hold the Festival at the Crystal Palace on Wednesday , the 26 th prox .

CONSECRATION OF THE VICTORIA LODGE , No . 2848 .
On Saturday , the nth instant * at the Victoria Hotel , Wolverhampton , the Earl of Dartmouth , Prov . Grand Master of Staffordshire , consecrated a new lodge , which will be known as the Victoria . This is the first new lodge that has been opened in the kingdom in the present century , and the warrant for its formation is the first that has been signed by the Duke of Connaught , M . W . G . M .
There was a large attendance of members of the Craft , about 176 being present , including brethren from all parts of the country . Adam Stephenson Gordon , the brother , John , Sutton Sams , and Mark Noble Buttanshaw , the executors , the value of the estate being £ 63 , 746 . The testator gives , £ 1000 , his household furniture , & c , at Eltham , and the income for life of £ 30 , 000 to his wife , Mrs . Susan Amelia Gordon ; £ IOD each to the Royal
Masonic Institution for Girls , the Eltham National Schools , and the Eltham Cottage Hospital ; £ 1000 and certain coastguard cottages in Sussex to his sister-in-law , Edith Frances Gordon ; £ 2000 to his sister , Anne Cecilia ; £ 1500 to his nephew , Cosmo Huntley Gordon ; £ 500 to his brother , James Henry ; £ 1000 between tVw children of each of his brothers , James Henry , Charles Vincent , and Lewis , except his nephew Cosmo ; and many small legacies . rie settles his house at Ballater , with the furniture

THE LORD MAYOR AT S TREATHAM . —Bro . the Lord Mayor , who was accompanied by Bro . Alderman and Sheriff Vaughan Morgan and Under-Sheriff Gardiner , visited Telford Park , Streatham Hill , on Saturday afternoon last to lay the foundationstone of a new church—St . Thomas ' s—which is to lake the place of the present
temporary iron building . There was a large attendance at the ceremony . Bro . the Archdeacon of London , in the course of an address , touched on the salient points in the progress of the scheme , pointing out that in three years £ 3000 had been spent on the site and foundations . Nearly £ 3000 had been raised towards the building of the nave , and £ 2000 more was required to complete it . In the Lord Mayor , whom they warmly welcomed , they had one to whom religious work specially appealed .

ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS .
The first meeting of the Board of Stewards for the 103 rd Anniversary Festival was held-at Freemasons' Hall on Friday , the ioth instant , Bro . Charles E . Keyser , P . G . D ., Patron and Treasurer of the Institution , was in the chair , supported by about 35 Stewards . The SECRETARV of the Institution reported correspondence he had had
with the Brighton Railway Company by which it appeared the company declined to allow privileges enjoyed in former years on the extended time for return journey whenever the Festival had been held at Brighton , and had also increased the fare by 33 !* per cent . He also reported the result of enquiries with reference to other places available for the meeting , and letters from Stewards unable to attend the meeting .
Considerable discussion followed , and it was ultimately resolved , with practical unanimity , to hold the Festival at the Crystal Palace on Wednesday , the 26 th prox .
Bro . Edgar Goble , P . G . S . B ., D . P . G . M . Hants and Isle of Wight , was elected President of the Board ; Bros . Harry Bevir and Jas . Stephens were elected President of the Board ; Bros . Harry Bevir and Jas . Stephens were elected acting Vice-Presidents ; Bros . Jno . W . Giei e , J . P ., P . G . Treas . Hants and Isle of Wight , and J . M . McLeod , Sec . R . M . I . B ., were respectively elected Hon . Treasurer and Hon . Secretary of the Board of Stewards . The acting officers , with Bros . T . A . Bullock , Corbie , Fraser , Pritchard , ! Powell , Parsons , Money , Songhurst , and Alfred J . Thomas were appointed a Committee to make all arran gements for the Festival .

CONSECRATION OF THE VICTORIA LODGE , No . 2848 .
On Saturday , the nth instant * at the Victoria Hotel , Wolverhampton , the Earl of Dartmouth , Prov . Grand Master of Staffordshire , consecrated a new lodge , which will be known as the Victoria . This is the first new lodge that has been opened in the kingdom in the present century , and the warrant for its formation is the first that has been signed by the Duke of Connaught , M . W . G . M .
There was a large attendance of members of the Craft , about 176 being present , including brethren from all parts of the country . The will ( dated January 1 , 1900 ) of Bro . Colonel Hugh Mackay Gordon , of Abergeldie Castle , Aberdeen , and the Courtyard , Eltham , who died ou March 19 , has just been proved by the Rev . Adam Stephenson Gordon , the brother , John , Sutton Sams , and Mark Noble Buttanshaw , the executors , the value of the estate being £ 63 , 746 . The testator gives , £ 1000 , his household furniture , & c , at Eltham , and the income for life of £ 30 , 000 to his wife , Mrs . Susan Amelia Gordon ; £ IOD each to the Royal
Masonic Institution for Girls , the Eltham National Schools , and the Eltham Cottage Hospital ; £ 1000 and certain coastguard cottages in Sussex to his sister-in-law , Edith Frances Gordon ; £ 2000 to his sister , Anne Cecilia ; £ 1500 to his nephew , Cosmo Huntley Gordon ; £ 500 to his brother , James Henry ; £ 1000 between tVw children of each of his brothers , James Henry , Charles Vincent , and Lewis , except his nephew Cosmo ; and many small legacies . rie settles his house at Ballater , with the furniture

A sum of £ 2000 is to be held , upon trust , should Abergeldie Castle not be sold or re-let at the expiration of the lease to the late Q . een Victoria , to purchase furniture for the Castle , and a further sum of £ 1000 for the repair of the roads there , but the executors are empowed to spend a portion of the income from the £ 1000 in contesting the claim of the _ Duke of Fife to seats in Crathie Church . The residue of his property he leaves to his wife .
THE LORD MAYOR AT S TREATHAM . —Bro . the Lord Mayor , who was accompanied by Bro . Alderman and Sheriff Vaughan Morgan and Under-Sheriff Gardiner , visited Telford Park , Streatham Hill , on Saturday afternoon last to lay the foundationstone of a new church—St . Thomas ' s—which is to lake the place of the present
temporary iron building . There was a large attendance at the ceremony . Bro . the Archdeacon of London , in the course of an address , touched on the salient points in the progress of the scheme , pointing out that in three years £ 3000 had been spent on the site and foundations . Nearly £ 3000 had been raised towards the building of the nave , and £ 2000 more was required to complete it . In the Lord Mayor , whom they warmly welcomed , they had one to whom religious work specially appealed .
