Reports Of Masonic Meetings.
Celebration of 1 S 92 . The Craft , as well as the Institution , was to be congratulated upon the fact of so good a man as Bro . Keyser taking the chair at the Festival . The brethren had enjoyed a taste of his quality on that evening , for he ventured to think that no previous Chairman had vvjrked so energetically , or pleaded so forcibly , and subscribed so liberally , before his Festival as that d ' stinguished brother
had done . They all knew the worth of the W . M ., and it was not for him to di'ate upon his good qualities . With his usual modesty , he had on the present occasion taken a " back seat . " and vvith the sanction of the lodge , his wife would be Steward to represent it at the Festival . Those who had the privilege of enjoying the friendship of Mrs . S pphens knew she was the good wife of a good Mason ,
and ever ready to assist in the good objects of the Oreler . She had already in this field borne away the palm , having the largest list of any Lady Steward at the Festival of 1 S 92 , and he knew the brethren of the lodge would assist him , and place their popular VV . M . —whose " retirement " vvas a bit " artful "—by enabling her to beat all former records at the approaching Festival . No doubt at that late hour Mrs .
Stephens was enjoying the " sleep of peace , " just commended to their notice by the artistes , and , although he was afraid the W . AL might not reach home until the s-nall hours of the morning , all would be forgiven when a perusal of the figures on the list would express to its fair Steward the wish from the Kilburn Lodge
" Oh ! may our sof : and soothing numbers Wrap thee in sweeter , softer slumbers . " The toast of " The Visitors , " etc ., followed , and closed a verv enjoyable evening . The musical arrangements were under the direction of Bro . E . Terry , Org .

the lodge . The brethren were equally as enthusiastic when " The Health of the I . P . M . " was given , he being presented vvith a Past Master's jewel . The toast of * ' The Past Alasters " vvas responded to by Bro . H . Lovegrove , Secretary , the first Master , who expressed his pleasure at the progress of the lodge . M . having intimated his intention of going forward as Steward for thc three Benevolent Ins'itutions , the sum of 25 guineas vcre voted for the
R . M . B . I . for Aged Freemasons , leavintr the ether two for further consideration . The sum of 10 guineas vvas also voted to Bro . G . VV . Kidd , S . VV ., who also goes forward as Steward . The candidates for initiation vvere proposed . All Alasonic business being ended , the lodge was closed , and the brethren adjourned to tlu banquet in the Council Chamber , after vvhich the usual loyal toasts vvere proposed and received in the manner peculiar to the Craft .
For " 1 he Charities , Bro . J . AlcLeod responded , representing more particularly the lioys' Institution , his plea was more on their behalf , but his remarks generally referred to the duties of all Freemasons to do their best lor the noble Charities in which they should all be interested . The remaining toasts vvere duly honoured . ' 1 he Tyler s toast concluded a well-spent evening . The proceedings of the evening were greatly enlivened by musical and choral efforts by various brethren .

This announcement vvas received with great enthusiasm , and all the brethren promised to exert their utmost to secure his return . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a very enjoyable evening .
