Report of the Committee of the Augustus Harris Sheriff ' s Chain and Badge Presentation Fund : In submitting the accounts of receipt and expenditure , the Committee desire to express their thanks to the 26 3 subscribers for the instantaneous and liberal support which greeted their proposal . The results have been so entirely satisfactory as to have enabled the Committee , after the liquidation of all claims whatsoever , to divide amongst various Charities and Benevolent Societies the sum of £$ 3 4 s . lid . Under the presidency of the Right Hon . the Lord Mayor , the chain and badge were presented to Bro . Augustus Harris in the Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House , on Friday , September 26 th . As the function was at the time very fully reported in many newspapers , it is unnecessary to refer to it here at greater length , unless it be to say that the meeting was one of an enthusiastic nature . Report of the Committee of the Augustus Harris Sheriff ' s Chain and Badge Presentation Fund : In submitting the accounts of receipt and expenditure , the Committee desire to express their thanks to the 26 3 subscribers for the instantaneous and liberal support which greeted their proposal . The results have been so entirely satisfactory as to have enabled the Committee , after the liquidation of all claims whatsoever , to divide amongst various Charities and Benevolent Societies the sum of £$ 3 4 s . lid . Under the presidency of the Right Hon . the Lord Mayor , the chain and badge were presented to Bro . Augustus Harris in the Egyptian Hall at the Mansion House , on Friday , September 26 th . As the function was at the time very fully reported in many newspapers , it is unnecessary to refer to it here at greater length , unless it be to say that the meeting was one of an enthusiastic nature . The chain and badge , which were manufactured by the Goldsmiths' and Silversmiths' Company , Limited , of Regent-street , gave undoubted satisfaction .
