It will be seen from the ample report we publish in another part of our columns that thc Festival on behalf of thc Mark Benevolent Fund which was held at Freemasons' Tavern , on Wednesday , proved a splendid success . Indeed , from what we have been able to gather , a success beyond what the brethren had expected . Among the Provinces , Lincolnshire , which
has the Chairman of the day fur its Prov . G . Master , very greatly distinguished itself , but all who had a share in the proceedings did well , and wo sincerely congratulate the Earl of Yarborough , who presided , the Board of Stewards , the Executive of the Mark Benevolent Fund , and , in an especial degree , Bro . C . F . Matier , its Honorary Secretary , on ; i result , which will so materially benefit this small , but deserving Charity .
The Service is becoming well represented in Masonry . Two lodges have recently been consecrated , one the Roll Call at Hounslow , which was consecrated on Tuesday last by the Prov . Grand Master of Middlesex * Lord George Hamilton , and the other the Trainbands
