bantl The toasts of "The King and the Craft , " and "The M . W . Grand Master , " were put and honoured . The toast of " The R . W . the Prov . G . M ., the Right Hon . Lord George Hamilton , M . P . ; tne W . Deputy Prov . G . M ., and the rest of the Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past , " was received with enthusiasm , and replied to by Bros . Wohlgemuth , P . P . S . G . O . ; A . Loft , P . P . G . S . ; and Rohrs , P . P . G . Std . B-.
Bro . Gandy , I . P . M ., in proposing the toast of " The W . MT , " said no words of his were needed to point out the excellent manner in which the VV . M . had discharged his duties during his year of office . They all saw how he did his work , and they could not withhold appreciation for the careful and feeling way in which he performed the
ceremonies . The W . M ., in replying , thanked Bro . Gandy for his kind tribute to his conduct in the chair . It was with regret he was reminded lhat his term of oflLe was almost expired . He would never forget the honour they had done him in placing him in the position of W . M . He did not feel he could hold out any hope of being added to the roll of honour—so many distinguished brethren had preceded hi n— but no M ister had ever entered on the duties of the office with a firm : r determination to do his level bjst ; the officers and brethren had ably assisted him . Thc lodge was now in a prosperous condition , which he hoped would continue .
The toast of "The Visitors" was responded to by Bros . Folkard , Latham , Moorhead , F . W . King , W . H . Ball , and H . VV . Cornish . In proposing the toast of "The Master Elect , " the W . M . said he had followed the Masonic career of their Master elect with very great interest , and in every office which he filled he was found equal to the duties and the occasion . Bro . Dolling Smith well deserved all that could be said in his praise ; he was a good Mason , who unobtrusively assisted in every worthy cause , and could best be described as one of those who " Do good by stealth , and blush to find it fame . "
The Master elect , Bro . D . Smith , said that he found it impossible to adeijuately reply to the kind words of the W . M . The highest compliment that can be paid to a brother is lo say he is a good Mason , and it would be Hs endeavour to be found worthy of the kind things said of him . Hehad full knowledge of the high inlljence and good done the lodge by the VV . M ., whose example he would , as far as possible , imitate .
The toast of "The I . P . M ., ' also included Ihe Past Masters , Treasurer , and Secretary , to all of whom the W . M . expressed his gratitude for their support , which he fully appreciated . That was the 30 th anniversary of the initiation in that lodge of their Treasurer , Bro . Wohlgemuth , one of their esteemed Past Masters , who had attained to Provincial honours , and whose lengthy career proved conclusively he had Masonry at heart .
Bro . Wohlgemuth , in his reply , reviewed the history of the lodge and Masonry in the province , giving many interesting details . He was connected with other lodges , but in none did he expeiience the same feeling of satisfaction as in that—his motherlodge , and he hoped to be spared to respond as Treasurer in 30 years' time . The toast of " The Officers" brought from the VV . M . an expression of indebtedness
to all of them . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a most happy reunion . An excellent musical programme was provided under the direction of Bro . Eustac ; Wallace , consisting of songs by Bro . Sparrow , ' cello solo , Mr . Jan Mailer , and musical sketches by Bro . Chas . Frood and Mr . Walter Graham .

The Iodge having been opened , the minutes of the installation meeting in April last were read and confirmed . Bro . Foreman was passed to the Second Degree , the ceremony being oerformed by Bro . E . P . Luke , I . P . M ., who initiated him at the previous meeting . There were three candidates for initiation—Messrs . Horace R . Hearndfn , Walter J . Bruce , and George W . Higgins . The ballot having proved unanimous in each case , these gentlemen were duly initiated by the W . M . in a most imoressive manner . Bro . Tuck was nominated as a joining member , after which the Iodge was closed .
At the banquet which followed the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured . In proposmg " The Health of the Worshipful Master , " Bro . Luke , I . P . M ., said that although installed into the chair as far back as Aoril las , Bro . Ba '< er might be said to have only just commenced his work in earnest . He had , however , from the first taken the warmest interest in the lodge , and had given ample evidence that no effort of his would be spared in promoting its welfare during his term of office . His conduct of the work in the lodge was such as to merit the fullest approbation , and was a worthy example for the brethren who were to succeed him .
The VV . M ., in responding , assured the brethren of his keen sense of the responsibility they had imposed upon him in placing him in the prout position hs o : cupiet , and expressed the hope that they would continue to accord hi TI hearty support in his endeavours to maintain the best traditions of the Caxton Lodg ; . The toast of " The Initiates" was then submitted by the W . M , who said how glad he was to welcome three brethren who had come forward with such excellent recommendations . Bros . R . H . That was the 30 th anniversary of the initiation in that lodge of their Treasurer , Bro . Wohlgemuth , one of their esteemed Past Masters , who had attained to Provincial honours , and whose lengthy career proved conclusively he had Masonry at heart .
Bro . Wohlgemuth , in his reply , reviewed the history of the lodge and Masonry in the province , giving many interesting details . He was connected with other lodges , but in none did he expeiience the same feeling of satisfaction as in that—his motherlodge , and he hoped to be spared to respond as Treasurer in 30 years' time . The toast of " The Officers" brought from the VV . M . an expression of indebtedness
to all of them . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a most happy reunion . An excellent musical programme was provided under the direction of Bro . Eustac ; Wallace , consisting of songs by Bro . Sparrow , ' cello solo , Mr . Jan Mailer , and musical sketches by Bro . Chas . Frood and Mr . Walter Graham .

The Iodge having been opened , the minutes of the installation meeting in April last were read and confirmed . Bro . Foreman was passed to the Second Degree , the ceremony being oerformed by Bro . E . P . Luke , I . P . M ., who initiated him at the previous meeting . There were three candidates for initiation—Messrs . Horace R . Hearndfn , Walter J . Bruce , and George W . Higgins . The ballot having proved unanimous in each case , these gentlemen were duly initiated by the W . M . in a most imoressive manner . Bro . Tuck was nominated as a joining member , after which the Iodge was closed .
At the banquet which followed the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were honoured . In proposmg " The Health of the Worshipful Master , " Bro . Luke , I . P . M ., said that although installed into the chair as far back as Aoril las , Bro . Ba '< er might be said to have only just commenced his work in earnest . He had , however , from the first taken the warmest interest in the lodge , and had given ample evidence that no effort of his would be spared in promoting its welfare during his term of office . His conduct of the work in the lodge was such as to merit the fullest approbation , and was a worthy example for the brethren who were to succeed him .
The VV . M ., in responding , assured the brethren of his keen sense of the responsibility they had imposed upon him in placing him in the prout position hs o : cupiet , and expressed the hope that they would continue to accord hi TI hearty support in his endeavours to maintain the best traditions of the Caxton Lodg ; . The toast of " The Initiates" was then submitted by the W . M , who said how glad he was to welcome three brethren who had come forward with such excellent recommendations . Bros . R . H .
