The annual convocation of the Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of East Lancashire vvill be held in the Freemasons' Hall , Institute-street , Silverwell-street , Bolton , on Friday , the 22 nd instant .
The Woodhouse and Rawson Electric Supply Co ., of Great Britain , Limited , have received a firstclass award , equal in value to a gold medal , for their show of electrical apparatus at the Melbourne Exhibition . Bro . J . D . Allcroft , Treasurer of Christ ' s Hospital , is announced to preside at the anniversary festival dinner of the North London Consumption Hospital . The institution is to be congratulated on securing
the co-operation of so excellent a chairman , and not less on the great strides vvhich the hospital has made during the past few years . By re-arranging the interior of the present building , Jthe Committee have doubled the number of beds—vvhich are always occupied—and the demand for admission having quite outgrown the available accommodation , the managers keenly feel the necessity of building another wing , a vvork which they hope to accomplish in the near future .

The Royal National Life-boat Institution has introduced a Bill into the House of Commons , entitled "A Bill to amend the Removal of Wrecks Act , 1 S 77 . " It provides for the removal of all . wrecks on or near the coasts of the United Kingdom , whether in navigable waters or not ,

The Supreme Council 33 have granted warrants for a chapter Rose Croix at Johannesburg , in the South African Republic , to be named the Alpha , and for a chapter at Umtata , in Tembuland , under the style of St . John the Evangelist .
Bro . Edgar Towell , of Manchester , assisted b y his son , gave a most interesting entertainment , on Thursday , the 28 th ult ., at the Moss Side Conservative Club , entitled " A Tour in North Wales . " The whole affair was a complete success .
