Mark Grand Lodge.
Bro . R . LOVELAND LOVELAND next moved— " That Bro . Edward Terry , Ruspini Lodge , No . 362 , be confirmed in the rank and privileges of a Past Master . " Bro . Terry was away at the installation meeting , and was not installed until the following regular meeting , and , therefore , had not served the office of W . M . for 12 months . They all knew that Bro . Terry had many
professional engagements both in England and abroad . On the occasion 111 question it was not possible he should be here . He was such a worthy brother , that he ( Bro . Loveland Loveland ) was sure he was only expressing the feelings of all Mark Masons when he said he hoped they would confirm him in the rank and privileges of a Past Master .
Bro . FRANK RICHARDSON said he seconded the motion with great confidence . It was not a question of idleness Bro . Terry being away ; it was absolutely following his profession—a thing they all agreed every man ought to do ; 'but he might say that during the rest of the year Bro , Terry
did his work , and did it most admirably . However , he was obliged to be away for six months , or he would have done his work . That being the case , he thought Grand Lodge would see its way to exercise its prerogative . The motion was carried .
The Earl of EUSTON then moved " That the thanks of Grand Lodge be given to Bro . Imre Kiralfy for the gift of specimens of ancient Japanese armour and a Zulu kaross . " The brethren would see the armour at Grand Lodge that evening , and it was a very handsome gift . Bro . LOVELAND LOVELAND seconded the motion , which was put and carried .
Bro . Imre Kiralfy , who was present , rose and bowed his acknowledgments . After a recommendation that a grant of £ 25 to a widow , moved by Bro . LOVELAND LOVELAND , seconded by Bro . FRANK RICHARDSON , had been confirmed , the Report of the General Board was adopted , on motion and seconded by the same two brethren .
Bro . J . ERNEST LANE next rose , and said the extremely pleasing duty devolved upon him to propose the nomination of the Most Worshipful Grand Master for the ensuing year , and in performing it a very few words would be reeded , for the virtues of his Royal Highness were well known , particularly to Masonsand to Mark Masons . It was , he believed , now 16 years since H . R . H . the Prince of Wales was first made Grand Master of this Degree , and he was sure that he echoed the wish of every one present when
he said he hoped that his Royal Highness might be long spared to rule over Mark Masons in the future as he had in the past . It was not a year since a thrill of horror went through the heartof every Mark Master when they heard of an attempt being made on the life of his Royal Highness , and he was sure they all felt thankful to the Great Overseer of the Universe for his Royal Higbness ' s delivery from the hands of an assassin . ( Hear , hear . ) Without further words he nominated his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales for election as Most Worshipful Grand Master for the ensuing year .
Bro . THOMAS E RASER nominated for election to the officer of Grand Treasurer , Bro . Harry Manfield , of the St . Simon de Liz Lodge , No . 245 . Bro . Manfield now filled the important office of Grand Treasurer in United Grand Lodgeof England , and it required no words of his ( Bro . Fraser ) to recommend this nomination to the brethren ' s attention .
The Earl of EUSTON having inquired it theie were any communications , Bro . MATIER said that at the meeting of Grand Lodge in June Bro . Frank Hanson was appointed Grand Deacon , but he was away on military duly , and was not then invested . However , he was now present . Ihe Earl of Euston then invested Bro . Frank Hanson as Grand Deacon , and Grand Lodge was closed in ample form .
