The Great Western Railway Company have issued their programme of Tourist Arrangements for the current season . These arrangements do not seem to differ appreciably from those adopted last year , but where any changes have been made , our readers will hardly need to be told that they are decidedly improvements . The tickets , as usual , are issued for a term of two months , which may
be extended on very favourable terms , if the people holding them are desirous of prolonging their holiday , and for such further period as they desire , but not exceeding the 31 st of December next . Moreover , as is the custom now-a-days , the journey may be broken at the most important places on the line , or in the district traversed . In this way a trip to Cornwall or Devonshire , to Wales , North or South , to
Ireland , or , in fact , to any district through which the Great Western system has running powers , or with which it is connected may be made leisurely , and without missing those localities which are worthy of being seen , but which are not , ordinarily , easy of access . Full particulars of the arrangements as to fares , train service , hotel accommodation , local conveyances / & c , & c , will be found in the
Special Tourist Programmes issued by the Company , while anything of a special character may be learned on application to the Company ' s Terminus at Paddington , the stations on its line / or on lines connected with it , or at the Company ' s Booking and Receiving Offices in London , and the
the chief provincial towns . As to the excellence of arrangements , and the beauty and attractions of the country worked by the Great Western , we do not need to add anything to what we have said in former years . They are too well known , and are too widely appreciated to require further minute description .
