P . M . The toast of " The Visitors " vvas responded to by Bro . John Weston , P . M ., Treas . 1602 , & c , whose remarks were particularly interesting to the brethren present , he having drawn attention to the fact that having had the privilege of initiating the present W . M . into Freemasonry , and since that time watched his Masonic education under the Preceptorship of so able a teacher as the late lamented Bro .

John Maclean , P . M ., which had borne such excellent fruit . He warmly congratulated the brethren of the lodge in electing so careful a worker to the chair of that lodge . Bro . Peter Jackson also expressed the great pleasure lie felt in visiting the lodge as the guest of the W . M ., and was generally delighted at the reception he had received from all classes during his visit to these shores . He was impressed vvith the excellent workine , vvhich reminded him

of the work done in Australia . Bro . Nathan Robinson , L . C . C , responded for " The Ladies , " and soon after a very agreeable meeting vvas brought to a close . The enjoyment of the evening vvas much enhanced by some excellent violin solos and songs , rendered by the Misses E . K . and Florence Dettmer , Mrs . Kemp and Miss F . Kemp , in addition to the contributions of the lodge members .

FELTHAM . Lebanon Lodge ( No . 1326 ) . —The 151 st regular meeting of this large and flourishing lodge was held on Saturday , the 24 th ult ., at the Railway Hotel , under thc presidency of Bro . Samuel Wheeler , W . M . Among those present were Bros . F . Dunstan , S . W . ; A . Robertson , J . W . ; J . Laurence , P . M ., Treas . ; Harry Davey , Sec . ;

VV . Kite , S . D . ; J . J . Marsh , P . M ., J . D . ; D . Moss , I . G . ; G . Bailey , Org . ; Roberts , Russell , and Harvie , Stwds . ; J . C . Goslin , P . G . S . B ., I . P . G . Std . Br . Herts , Loeb , Hirsch , and Cox . The lodge vvas opened , and the minutes of the previous

meeting were read and confirmed . An unusually long agenda with its consequent discussions was , under the able guidance of the VV . M ., worked off in a most satisfactory way , although not before the lodge had been in session upwards of three hours . Two brethren—Brooke and Alderman—were passed to the Second Degree , and three candidates most impressively initiated . At the close the brethren sat down to a most excellent

banquet , which in every way lefiected the greatest credit on Bro . H . P . Harris , the proprietor of the hotel . The usual loyal and customary toasts were given and received in an enthusiastic manner . Brevity was the keynote of all the speeches on account of the time . In proposing "Thc Health of the W . M ., " Bro . Goslin regretted it was in all probability the last occasion on which he would have that honour . He vvas sure he vvas

expressing not only his own conviction but also that of the brethren when he said that Bro . Wheeler had , as W . M ., most conscientiousl y and successfully ruled the lodge during thc past year . Each member and visitor could not havc failed to notice the perfect way in which he had performed all the ceremonies , and the kindly and brotherly feeling he had engendered in all their hearts . The VV . M . acknowledged the kindness he had always

received from those around him . During his Mastership hc had always considered that thc best way to rule was to !> erve faithfully and to the best of his abilities those who were connected in any way with the lodge . Bro . VVood Perry , P . P . G . Std . Br . Herts , responded for " The Visitors , " and thanked the brethren for their hearty reception of the toast , and spoke in very high terms of the work he had witnessed in the lodge during the

afternoonevery officer seemed to be thoroughly versed in his duties , and what vvas more to the point , rendered cheerful and willing service for the advancement of the lodge . Referring to the case of the late Bro Wilson , P . M ., he promised to exert his inlluence in his own province in supporting Bro . Wilson ' s son at the October election , and regretted the difficulty under which a provincial lodge laboured in securing votes when a large proportion of the members belonged

also to London lodges . Bros . Cox and Loeb also responded . The W . M ., in very felicitous terms , proposed " 'The Health of Hro . F . Dunstan , S . W ., W . M . elect , " and reminded those present of his excellent Masonic service . A good Mason himself , he had imbued everybody vvith whom he came in touch with the same good and exalted

notions of the purposes and intentions of Masonry . The WM . vvas sure the brethren would not regret the choice they had made , and though only about half-an-hour Bro Dunstan ' s senior in the Craft , he did not hesitate to congratulate thc lodge on his successor in the chair of K . S . Bro . Dunstan suitably acknowledged thc toast , and assured the brethren that his constant aim would be the advancement of thc best interests of thc lodge and its

members , to do his duty fearlessly and impartially , and to leave the chair at the termination of his office in the same high state as when he first accepted it . The toast of "The Officers" vvas duly honoured and acknowledged , and one of the most successful and pleasant meetings brought to a close by the Tyler's toast .

Prov . Grand Secretary . Bro . M . C . Peek , P . G . Std . Br . England , vvith the usual honours . After an introduction by the Acting W . M ., vvho expressed the regret of Bro . Richardson , the W . M ., at his inability to attend , the Prov . Grand Secretary gave a short address upon Masonic duty , showing that upon the conduct of the officers and brethren depended the impressions for good or evil vvhich

might be made upon the candidates admitted . He expatiated on the beauties of the Craft , upon the various interesting departments of study afforded within it , recommending , amongst other literature , the Transactions of the Lodge Quatuor Coronati , and assured the brethren they would be amply rewarded for the labour incurred in acquiring a

thorough knowledge of Masonic principlesand practice . At the conclusion of the lecture a cordial vote of thanks vvas accorded , and the lodge was closed . The brethren afterwards assembled round the festive board , and two enjoyabl ? hours were spent in harmony and good fellowship . HAMPTON COURT .

Wolsey Lodfcje ( No 16 5 6 ) The installation meeting of this wel' -knoivn lodge was held on the 12 th ult ., at the Greyhound Hotel , and was well attended , both by members and visitors , the latter numbering 26 . Grant , vvho received the hearty congratulations of the members . In presenting a Past Master ' s jewel to Bro . T . Grant the W . M . observed that no Master of the lodge had ever better deserved it for the great services rendered by him to the

lodge , and he left the chair carrying with him the best wishes of the brethren , to vvhich Bro . Grant made a suitable reply . 1 he lodge was then closed , and the brethren partook of an excellent banquet . The VVorshipful Master gave the loyal and Masonic toasts with a few appropriate remarks . In responding for "The Grand Ofiicers , Present and

Past , " Bro . C . F . Hogard , whose name was cuipled vvith the toast , said that the Grand Officers devoted much time to the Craft , and they were perfect . He vvas pleased that he was present that night to witness the grand working of the outgoing Master , Bro . T . Grant . Bro . VV . Fisher , Prov . Grand Treas ., replied tn the toastof "The Prov . Grand Ollicers , Present and Past . "

He thanked the brethren for having supported him as the Grand Treasurer for the province . He paid a tribute to Bro . Lord George Hamilton , who would be received with the enthusiasm with which his predecessor had been received . He hoped that all the lodges in the province vvere in a satisfactory financial condition to enable them lo subscribe liberally to their Charities .

Bro . II . H . Room , Prov . G . Sec , also responded . He vvas proud ^ and pleased to be an officer of the province , whose officers , hc ventured to think , could compete with the Grand Ollicers of other provinces . He regretted that he had not been able to attend the lodge for some time , overwork and other matters having prevented him . The lodge vvas flourishing and doing good work . I Ie congratulated

Bro . T . Grant on his splendid woikingof the installati .-n ceremony . He had never seen it done better , and in conclusion he remarked that the lodge had in their Secretary , Bro . Capt . Walls , a distinguished brother and an efficient member . Bro . T . Grant , I . P . M ., in proposing "Thc Health ofthe

W . M ., " stated that the brethren had experienced eight or nine years of the working of Bro . Bond , who had filled all the offices , and had made himself thoroughly ellicient , and would carry out the duties with satisfaction to them all , and , in conclusion , he heartily wished him a happy and prosperous year of ofiice with plenty of initiates .

Provincial Meetings.

The toast vvas drunk vvith great enthusiasm , and the W . M , on rising to respond received quite an ovation . He said he was much pleased by such a greeting , and in the presence of such a grand assembly he felt more than proud that he vvas their Master . He felt at that moment more than he could express in words , but hoped to do his best for the lodge and to maintain the great credit the lodge had in the province .

In eulogistic terms the W . M . gave " The Immediate Past Master , Bro . T . Grant . " He said that all the members admired and esteemed him as a loyal friend . His working of the ritual vvas perfect , and he had broken the record , having had 17 initiates and 16 raising ? during his very successful year of office . Bro . T . Grant , on rising to respond , had a great recep . tion . He stated that he was not able to reply in a manner

that he should like to do , their greeting having been a sur prise to him , and he vvas more than pleased . He tendered his hearty thanks to Bro . Sapsworth for his great assistance , as whenever he ( Bro . Grant ) saw him enter the lodge he felt at ease , and he had received from him every assistance in the lodge of instruction . He also thanked Bro . Featherstone ( who was the first initiate of the lodge and had been its Treasurer for the last five years ) for his many services .

His best thanks vvere also due to Bro . Capt . Walls , vvho was as good as any Book of Constitutions , and it vvas impossible for any lodge to have a better officer than he vvas , and he ( Bro . Grant ) was glad that he was now wearing the purple of the Grand Lodge . He should never forget the kindness he had received at all times from his officers during the time

he occupied the chair , and he took that opportunity to record how very much he appreciated their able cooperation . In conclusion he stated that he honoured the jewel vvhich had been presented to him , and should always look upon it with admiration and pleasure , and would do everything in his power to assist the lodge in any way .

VV . BRO . TOM GRANT , I . P . M . WOLSEY LODGE . In giving " The Treasurer , Secretary , and Officers , " the VV . M . stated that the brethren appreciated the great services rendered by the first two named , and if the other officers aspired to go forward he would be gratified . Bro . Featherstone , Treas ., replied in suitable terms . Bro . Capt . WallsSecalso responded in a happy

, , speech . He said that the brethren were proud of the Past Masters of the lodge , who were a formidable body . 1 he lodge was prosperous , and would continue to prosper . I lc appreciated the kind remarks made as to his having been honoured by the Grand Lodge with a collar of ofiice , which he hoped never to disgrace . The W . M . gave "The Masonic Charities , " observing that all Masons vvere pr <* ud of their Charities , which were

the keystone of their Constitution . He coupled vvith the toast the name of Bro . Capt . Walls , whom he asked to respond . Bro . Capt . Walls replied in eloquent ' terms , paying » great tribute to Bro . McLeod , the Secretary of the Boys School . He hoped that Bro . T . Grant , who had a good heart , and was a splendid Mason , would have the honour of taking up a largrc amount from the members .

The Worshipful Master gave the toast of " The Visitors in cordial terms . , Bro . Maples , in reply , thanked the W . M . and tne brethren for their kind reception and great hospitality , ana congratulated Bro . T . Grant on his splendid working that nieht . . ,

meeting were read and confirmed . An unusually long agenda with its consequent discussions was , under the able guidance of the VV . M ., worked off in a most satisfactory way , although not before the lodge had been in session upwards of three hours . Two brethren—Brooke and Alderman—were passed to the Second Degree , and three candidates most impressively initiated . At the close the brethren sat down to a most excellent

banquet , which in every way lefiected the greatest credit on Bro . H . P . Harris , the proprietor of the hotel . The usual loyal and customary toasts were given and received in an enthusiastic manner . Brevity was the keynote of all the speeches on account of the time . In proposing "Thc Health of the W . M ., " Bro . Goslin regretted it was in all probability the last occasion on which he would have that honour . He vvas sure he vvas

expressing not only his own conviction but also that of the brethren when he said that Bro . Wheeler had , as W . M ., most conscientiousl y and successfully ruled the lodge during thc past year . Each member and visitor could not havc failed to notice the perfect way in which he had performed all the ceremonies , and the kindly and brotherly feeling he had engendered in all their hearts . The VV . M . acknowledged the kindness he had always

received from those around him . During his Mastership hc had always considered that thc best way to rule was to !> erve faithfully and to the best of his abilities those who were connected in any way with the lodge . Bro . VVood Perry , P . P . G . Std . Br . Herts , responded for " The Visitors , " and thanked the brethren for their hearty reception of the toast , and spoke in very high terms of the work he had witnessed in the lodge during the

afternoonevery officer seemed to be thoroughly versed in his duties , and what vvas more to the point , rendered cheerful and willing service for the advancement of the lodge . Referring to the case of the late Bro Wilson , P . M ., he promised to exert his inlluence in his own province in supporting Bro . Wilson ' s son at the October election , and regretted the difficulty under which a provincial lodge laboured in securing votes when a large proportion of the members belonged

also to London lodges . Bros . Cox and Loeb also responded . The W . M ., in very felicitous terms , proposed " 'The Health of Hro . F . Dunstan , S . W ., W . M . elect , " and reminded those present of his excellent Masonic service . A good Mason himself , he had imbued everybody vvith whom he came in touch with the same good and exalted

notions of the purposes and intentions of Masonry . The WM . vvas sure the brethren would not regret the choice they had made , and though only about half-an-hour Bro Dunstan ' s senior in the Craft , he did not hesitate to congratulate thc lodge on his successor in the chair of K . S . Bro . Dunstan suitably acknowledged thc toast , and assured the brethren that his constant aim would be the advancement of thc best interests of thc lodge and its

members , to do his duty fearlessly and impartially , and to leave the chair at the termination of his office in the same high state as when he first accepted it . The toast of "The Officers" vvas duly honoured and acknowledged , and one of the most successful and pleasant meetings brought to a close by the Tyler's toast .

Prov . Grand Secretary . Bro . M . C . Peek , P . G . Std . Br . England , vvith the usual honours . After an introduction by the Acting W . M ., vvho expressed the regret of Bro . Richardson , the W . M ., at his inability to attend , the Prov . Grand Secretary gave a short address upon Masonic duty , showing that upon the conduct of the officers and brethren depended the impressions for good or evil vvhich

might be made upon the candidates admitted . He expatiated on the beauties of the Craft , upon the various interesting departments of study afforded within it , recommending , amongst other literature , the Transactions of the Lodge Quatuor Coronati , and assured the brethren they would be amply rewarded for the labour incurred in acquiring a

thorough knowledge of Masonic principlesand practice . At the conclusion of the lecture a cordial vote of thanks vvas accorded , and the lodge was closed . The brethren afterwards assembled round the festive board , and two enjoyabl ? hours were spent in harmony and good fellowship . HAMPTON COURT .

Grant , vvho received the hearty congratulations of the members . In presenting a Past Master ' s jewel to Bro . T . Grant the W . M . observed that no Master of the lodge had ever better deserved it for the great services rendered by him to the

lodge , and he left the chair carrying with him the best wishes of the brethren , to vvhich Bro . Grant made a suitable reply . 1 he lodge was then closed , and the brethren partook of an excellent banquet . The VVorshipful Master gave the loyal and Masonic toasts with a few appropriate remarks . In responding for "The Grand Ofiicers , Present and

Past , " Bro . C . F . Hogard , whose name was cuipled vvith the toast , said that the Grand Officers devoted much time to the Craft , and they were perfect . He vvas pleased that he was present that night to witness the grand working of the outgoing Master , Bro . T . Grant . Bro . VV . Fisher , Prov . Grand Treas ., replied tn the toastof "The Prov . Grand Ollicers , Present and Past . "

He thanked the brethren for having supported him as the Grand Treasurer for the province . He paid a tribute to Bro . Lord George Hamilton , who would be received with the enthusiasm with which his predecessor had been received . He hoped that all the lodges in the province vvere in a satisfactory financial condition to enable them lo subscribe liberally to their Charities .

Bro . II . H . Room , Prov . G . Sec , also responded . He vvas proud ^ and pleased to be an officer of the province , whose officers , hc ventured to think , could compete with the Grand Ollicers of other provinces . He regretted that he had not been able to attend the lodge for some time , overwork and other matters having prevented him . The lodge vvas flourishing and doing good work . I Ie congratulated

Bro . T . Grant on his splendid woikingof the installati .-n ceremony . He had never seen it done better , and in conclusion he remarked that the lodge had in their Secretary , Bro . Capt . Walls , a distinguished brother and an efficient member . Bro . T . Grant , I . P . M ., in proposing "Thc Health ofthe

W . M ., " stated that the brethren had experienced eight or nine years of the working of Bro . Bond , who had filled all the offices , and had made himself thoroughly ellicient , and would carry out the duties with satisfaction to them all , and , in conclusion , he heartily wished him a happy and prosperous year of ofiice with plenty of initiates .

Provincial Meetings.

The toast vvas drunk vvith great enthusiasm , and the W . M , on rising to respond received quite an ovation . He said he was much pleased by such a greeting , and in the presence of such a grand assembly he felt more than proud that he vvas their Master . He felt at that moment more than he could express in words , but hoped to do his best for the lodge and to maintain the great credit the lodge had in the province .

In eulogistic terms the W . M . gave " The Immediate Past Master , Bro . T . Grant . " He said that all the members admired and esteemed him as a loyal friend . His working of the ritual vvas perfect , and he had broken the record , having had 17 initiates and 16 raising ? during his very successful year of office . Bro . T . Grant , on rising to respond , had a great recep . tion . He stated that he was not able to reply in a manner

that he should like to do , their greeting having been a sur prise to him , and he vvas more than pleased . He tendered his hearty thanks to Bro . Sapsworth for his great assistance , as whenever he ( Bro . Grant ) saw him enter the lodge he felt at ease , and he had received from him every assistance in the lodge of instruction . He also thanked Bro . Featherstone ( who was the first initiate of the lodge and had been its Treasurer for the last five years ) for his many services .

His best thanks vvere also due to Bro . Capt . Walls , vvho was as good as any Book of Constitutions , and it vvas impossible for any lodge to have a better officer than he vvas , and he ( Bro . Grant ) was glad that he was now wearing the purple of the Grand Lodge . He should never forget the kindness he had received at all times from his officers during the time

he occupied the chair , and he took that opportunity to record how very much he appreciated their able cooperation . In conclusion he stated that he honoured the jewel vvhich had been presented to him , and should always look upon it with admiration and pleasure , and would do everything in his power to assist the lodge in any way .

VV . BRO . TOM GRANT , I . P . M . WOLSEY LODGE . In giving " The Treasurer , Secretary , and Officers , " the VV . M . stated that the brethren appreciated the great services rendered by the first two named , and if the other officers aspired to go forward he would be gratified . Bro . Featherstone , Treas ., replied in suitable terms . Bro . Capt . WallsSecalso responded in a happy

, , speech . He said that the brethren were proud of the Past Masters of the lodge , who were a formidable body . 1 he lodge was prosperous , and would continue to prosper . I lc appreciated the kind remarks made as to his having been honoured by the Grand Lodge with a collar of ofiice , which he hoped never to disgrace . The W . M . gave "The Masonic Charities , " observing that all Masons vvere pr <* ud of their Charities , which were

the keystone of their Constitution . He coupled vvith the toast the name of Bro . Capt . Walls , whom he asked to respond . Bro . Capt . Walls replied in eloquent ' terms , paying » great tribute to Bro . McLeod , the Secretary of the Boys School . He hoped that Bro . T . Grant , who had a good heart , and was a splendid Mason , would have the honour of taking up a largrc amount from the members .

The Worshipful Master gave the toast of " The Visitors in cordial terms . , Bro . Maples , in reply , thanked the W . M . and tne brethren for their kind reception and great hospitality , ana congratulated Bro . T . Grant on his splendid working that nieht . . ,

Bro . Grundy also responded , and said that the W . M . " too modest an appreciation of his own capabilities . Bro . Mat . Kennally also responded .
