Masonic Notes .

As a rule , the business set down for transaction at the July Court ofthe Royal Masonic Institution for Boys is neitherheavy nor exciting . It is for the most part conlined to determining the number of vacancies to be

competed for in the following October , and approving the list of candidates who shall compete for them . But it is by no means unlikely that the Court , which will be held at Freemasons' Hall on Friday next , the 14 th inst ., will prove an exception .

* * Thc vacancies vvill bc declared , and the list of candidates will be approved in the ordinary course , and there is also a motion vvhich will be submitted by Bro . Geo . Beech , Prov . G . Secretary of Warwickshire , vvhich we have no doubt will bc accepted- as similar resolutions

have been—unanimously , to the effect that a Perpetual Presentation shall be secured to Warwickshire in exchange for the sum of . £ 1050 to be paid over to tho Institution , but subject to the one condition—that the Presentation shall be " available only for sons ol Warwickshire Masons . " But most of the time of the

Court will be no doubt occupied in determining whether or not the Laws of the Institution , as revised , by the Board of Management and submitted to the Council at its meetings on the 7 th April and 26 th May last , shall be accepted . There is no particular objection to

the proposed Code of Laws , which only needs a little touching up here and there ; and we presume , therefore , that it will be accepted , and become and remain as the Laws of the Institution until such time as a further revision may be considered desirable .
