C , and in a most impressive manner installed him inlo the chair . Bro . Forrest immediately proceeded to invest Bro . Col . Le Gendre Nicholas Starkie , P . G . Master East Lanes ., as the acting l . P . M . It was an unique position for the W . M . to invest the Prov . Grand Master of his own province , but

Bro . Col . MONEY gracefully acknowledged the compliment . At ihe close of the meeting the brethren adjourned to a banquet . The loj-il and Masonic toasts were proposed and responded to . Ihe toast of the W . M . had been omitted , but the searching eye of Bro . ( ol . Starkie , the P . G . M ., quickly discovered this , and made a special toast , speaking in the most eloquent and brilliant terms of commendation , and deceiving ly so , of the high character of Bro . Forrest .
, Ihe WoRsHii'i'ur . MASTKR , in response , said he had gone into the chair with a full sense of his responsibility , and felt proud of the honoured position '" which he was placed . He felt sure the perfect unanimity that had been evinced by the founders in the initiatory stages of the establishment of the lod ge was an augury of its success , and the good Masonic feeling that would prevail amongst them . , A meeting of the above Provincial Grand Chapter was held at the ' asonic Rooms , Lincoln , on Thursday , the 27 th ult . The Grand Superin-•j " ( len t , Comp . W . Harling Sissons , J . P ., D . L ., presided , and was supported of 1 " CX (' e !* and representative attendance ol companions from all parts fro Province . In his address the Grand Superintendent regretted that 11 unavoidable causes he had bcen prevented attending the whole of the * Plers recentl y placed under his superintendence . The most important

months . In that time the Fraternity had too short a period for becoming intimately acquainted with , the qualifications ^? thc brother . Many men might be excellent citizens of the world , high principled , conscientious , and worthy ; at the same time they might have defects of temper or temperament which rendered them , what , for a want of a better word , he would call not clubbable men , and which caused them afterwards to be a ciuse of weakness and not of strength to the Order . He , the Grand Superintendent ,
considered that the best interests of Royal Arch Masonry would be rather served by a reduction in the minimum fee as fixed by Supreme Grand Chapter . The Grand Superintendent then alluded to the many companions who had passed away since their last meeting . The one consolation to the surviving companions being the sure and certain hope that their whilom earthly companions had passed into that wider knowledge and that purer light which even Freemasonry but faintly realised .

The PROV . GRAND SECRETARY called attention to the absence of returns from some lodges , and to the want of addresses of brethren . He also brought to the notice of Prov . Grand Lodge that the Bishop elect of Bath and Wells was a zealous Freemason . The PROV . GRAND TREASURER produced the accounts , showing a balance in hand of £ S ? , 16 s . 4 d .
It was agreed , on the proposition of Bro . RADWAV , P . G . D . England , seconded by Bro . W . J . NOSWORTHY , P . P . S . G . W ., P . G . Org . England , that Bro . Else should be nominated to ihe Grand Master for appointment as Provincial Grand Master .
It was also resolved that 15 guineas should be given to the Mark Benevolent Fund . The alms were voted to the Yeovil Hospital . Bro . S . R . Baskett undertook the office of Steward for the province of the Mark Benevolent Fund , 1895 . The Prov . The PROV . GRAND SECRETARY called attention to the absence of returns from some lodges , and to the want of addresses of brethren . He also brought to the notice of Prov . Grand Lodge that the Bishop elect of Bath and Wells was a zealous Freemason . The PROV . GRAND TREASURER produced the accounts , showing a balance in hand of £ S ? , 16 s . 4 d .
It was agreed , on the proposition of Bro . RADWAV , P . G . D . England , seconded by Bro . W . J . NOSWORTHY , P . P . S . G . W ., P . G . Org . England , that Bro . Else should be nominated to ihe Grand Master for appointment as Provincial Grand Master .
It was also resolved that 15 guineas should be given to the Mark Benevolent Fund . The alms were voted to the Yeovil Hospital . Bro . S . R . Baskett undertook the office of Steward for the province of the Mark Benevolent Fund , 1895 . The Prov .
