CHINGFORD . Royal Victorian Jubilee Lodge ( N 0 . 2184 ) . —The summer session of the above excellent lodge , the meetings of which are held at the Royal Forest Hotel , came to a close on Thursday , the 24 th ult ., and never in its history has a more pleasant and united spirit prevailed than that
which animated the brethren as they partook of their modest yet elegantly-served banquet , and which at the after social board made the few hours at their disposal alive with brotherly love and harmony . Dale was appointed to represent the lodge on the Provincial Charity Committee , and after other lodge business had been disposed of , the lodge vvas closed , and the brethren adjourned to banquet . Some excellent singing and reciting added a rare charm to the post-prandial proceedings .

Osyth ' s Priory Lodge ( No . 2063 ) . — The session of this lodge was opened on Monday , the 2 ist ult ., when a goodly number of the members and several visitors assembled at the Public Hall ( by dispensation from the Prov . G . M . ) to witness the installation of the W . M . elect , Bro . Walter Firmin Reed , as W . M . for the ensuing
year . The ceremony vvas performed by the outgoing W . M ., Bro . Fred . J . Nunn , Prov . G . Asst . Sec , who vvas assisted by Bro . Henry Finer , P . M ., P . P . A . G . A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Installing
Master for the ability with which he had performed the ceremony of the day , and he vvas presented with a handsome Past Master ' s jewel , Bro . Henry Finer , in making the presentation , remarking that Bro . F . J . Nunn had been a hard worker during his year of office , and he trusted would continue such for some time to come . Bro . F . J . Nunn , in acknowledgment , said he had been
much pleased to undertake the installation ceremony , as he considered that it vvas the duty of every Worshipful Master to install his successor . The presentation to him of so handsome a jewel was an act for which he should ever feel grateful to his brethren , and it would be an incentive to him to continue to devote himself to the best interests of the St . Osyth's Priory Lodge , of which he was proud to have
been one of the founders . The jewel bore the following inscription : " Presented by the brethren of the St . Osyth ' s Priory Lodge , No . 2063 , to Bro . F . J . Nunn , for his valuable services as W . M . 1 S 90-1 . " Between 40 and 50 brethren afterwards dined together at the Royal Hotel , a splendid repast being well served by the hostess , Mrs . Wallis . During dinner a congratulatory telegram vvas received from the brethren of the Blackwater
Lodge , who were holding their installation meeting at the same hour at Maldon , and as hearty a reply was promptly returned , by wire , by the Worshipful Master . The afterdinner speeches vvere interspersed by a capital selection of music by various members of the lodge , under the direction of Bro . Noble , the Organist . Altogether the proceedings vvere of a most harmonious character , and vvere much enjoyed by all present .
EAST MOLESEY . Arnold Lodge ( No . 1981 ) . —An emergency meeting of this lodge was held on Tuesday , the 29 th ult ., at the Castle Hotel , when there were present Bros . H . I . Shelly , W . M . ; M . Spiegel , P . M ., S . W . ; G . A . Ball , J . W . ; Wright , S . D . ; Neal , acting J . D . j and Ellis , I . G . The lodge being opened , Bros . Deacon , Busbridge , and
Allshorn were raised . Bros . Gaukie , George , and Gray vvere passed by Bro . Moorman , P . M ., and Mr . George Sydney Combden , having been duly elected , vvas initiated by the W . M . The Secretary announced that his bag with the books of the lodge was taken out of the train by mistake by some other passenger , and he trusted by giving publicity to the loss the same might be returned .
The lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjourned to refreshment . After the loyal toasts , the W . M . proposed "The Health of Bro . Kipling , P . M ., " who is about to go to Japan on an official appointment , and wishing him all success .
In replying , Bro . Kipling said that he would remain a member of the lodge , and had paid his dues three years in advance . The remaining toasts having been honoured , the brethren afterwards separated , having spent a very enjoyable evening .
HAMPTON COURT . Woisey Lodge ( No . 1656 ) . —This prosperous provincial lodge met for the dispatch of business at the Greyhound Hotel on the 14 th ult . Among those present were Bros . 1691 , P . G . S . B ., acknowledging receipt of congratulatory resolution passed at the last meeting of No . 16 5 6 . Bro . H . J . Bond , J . W ., vvas elected to represent the lodge at the R . M . B . I . Festival , 1892 , and the Secretary gave a notice of motion to vote a sum from the lodge funds to head the Steward ' s list . Apologies for non-attendance were received and read from Bros . F . Chandler , P . M ., P . P . G . P . j
Suggett , and others . The lodge vvas then closed , and the brethren adjourned to an excellent banquet ably catered for by Bro . Gedda . Upon the removal of the cloth the usual toasts received full justice . Bro . Peat , P . G . Org ., responded in fluent terms on behalf of " The Provincial Grand Officers . "
The l . P . M . gave " The W . M ., " and in the course of an able speech touched upon the good social and Masonic qualities of Bro . Sapsworth . The speaker said that he had watched the Masonic career of the W . M . with a very great deal of interest . They had seen how well he had performed
the ceremony of raising- that evening . In conclusion he trusted that the W . M . ' s year of office would be in every way highly successful . The Worshipful Master , having briefly acknowledged the compliment , then proposed " The Visitors , " which toast received full justice at the hands of Bro . Levy ,
S . W . SS 9 . A few other toasts vvere given , and the proceedings , which were throughout most agreeable , then terminated .

S WIN TON . Egerton Lodge ( No . 2216 ) . —The regular meeting of this lodge was held at the Bull ' s Head Hotel on Wednesday , the 23 rd ult . It being the first meeting after the vacation , a large number of brethren were present . The lodge has been very successful since its consecration through the indefatigable exertions of Bro . 1 . Chadderton ,
P . M ., Prov . A . G . Sec , the first Worshipful Master . The chair was taken by Bro . J . Lee-Wood , W . M ., who opened the lodge . The minutes of the previous meeting vvere read and confirmed . The ballot was taken for a gentleman , which proved favourable , and he vvas subsequently initiated by Bro . R . Wardle , l . P . M . Bro . Hy . Bennet , S . W ., delivered the charge with great effect . At
the close of the ceremony , the W . M ., Bro . J . Lee-Wood , said he had that evening a very pleasing duty to perform , and he vvas sure every member of the lodge would agree with him that the token he was going to present to Bro . J . Chadderton , P . M ., P . A . G . Sec , and the first W . M . of the lodge , was well merited . Bro . Chadderton had since the commencement of the lodge done yeoman service .
He had had many difficulties to contend with , but he had overcome them , and now they were on a firm basis and in a very prosperous state . _ Therefore the brethren wished to show their appreciation of those services , and , on their behalf , he asked him to accept a founder ' s jewel and hoped that he might live long to wear it . Bro . J . Chadderton thanked the brethren for the very handsome jewel ,
and assured them he should always continue to work as hard as he always had done for the benefit of the Egerton Lodge . It was a jewel of unique design—a gold circle with a large shield emblazoned with coloured enamels with the arms of the Egerton family and beautifully designed bars , and the emblem of the W . M . with a suitable inscription . " Hearty good wishes " were expressed by numerous
visitors present , and the lodge vvas closed . At the festive board the brethren had a great treat afforded them by a song given b y Bro . F . Ridsdale Bovvley , S . D ., who rendered the music with great expression and ability . During the evening Bro . Dr . W . Y . Martin , P . P . G . D ., displayed a parcel of antique Masonic clothing which had
been presented to him from time to time by different friends , and gave the history of many of them , which proved highly interesting to everyone present . Bro . F . The lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjourned to refreshment . After the loyal toasts , the W . M . proposed "The Health of Bro . Kipling , P . M ., " who is about to go to Japan on an official appointment , and wishing him all success .
In replying , Bro . Kipling said that he would remain a member of the lodge , and had paid his dues three years in advance . The remaining toasts having been honoured , the brethren afterwards separated , having spent a very enjoyable evening .

W ., delivered the charge with great effect . At
the close of the ceremony , the W . M ., Bro . J . Lee-Wood , said he had that evening a very pleasing duty to perform , and he vvas sure every member of the lodge would agree with him that the token he was going to present to Bro . J . Chadderton , P . M ., P . A . G . Sec , and the first W . M . of the lodge , was well merited . Bro . Chadderton had since the commencement of the lodge done yeoman service .
He had had many difficulties to contend with , but he had overcome them , and now they were on a firm basis and in a very prosperous state . _ Therefore the brethren wished to show their appreciation of those services , and , on their behalf , he asked him to accept a founder ' s jewel and hoped that he might live long to wear it . Bro . J . Chadderton thanked the brethren for the very handsome jewel ,
and assured them he should always continue to work as hard as he always had done for the benefit of the Egerton Lodge . It was a jewel of unique design—a gold circle with a large shield emblazoned with coloured enamels with the arms of the Egerton family and beautifully designed bars , and the emblem of the W . M . with a suitable inscription . " Hearty good wishes " were expressed by numerous
visitors present , and the lodge vvas closed . At the festive board the brethren had a great treat afforded them by a song given b y Bro . F . Ridsdale Bovvley , S . D ., who rendered the music with great expression and ability . During the evening Bro . Dr . W . Y . Martin , P . P . G . D ., displayed a parcel of antique Masonic clothing which had
