The Two Angels.

" Yes , yes , on thee will he his friend And benefactor gaze , Whilst Heaven is open to his sight , In one effulgent blaze .

The world to him a prison house , His soul no longer holds , The bonds are burst , the chains are snapt , God ' s glory now unfolds . "

" Thus then , as man from earthly sleep , Awakes anew to life , 'Midst joy and sorrow oft to wage

With sin unequal strife , So , from Death ' s sleep , the immortal soul As victor shall arise , The crown of glory to receive , A never fadingjprize . "

Sleep s angel ceased , and lovingly He saw , with pure delight , His brother ' s dark and lustrous eyes , Beam with celestial light . ,

"No longer as a foe , but friend , Death ' s angel now will come , To waft the spirits of the just , To their eternal home . " F . W . DRIVER , M . A ., P . M . G 2 , Lancaster Road , Notting Hill , W .
