Tho P . G . M . AA-as patron of a Masonic ball given by the Brethren of the Belvidere Lodge , at the Count y Assembly Booms , Maidstone . It Avas very well attended . It is understood thafc the number of tickets taken was sufficient , after payment of the expenses , to yield a handsome sum for one of the Masonic charities .
SVLBHRT-HSSS . —Adam ' s Lodge ( No . 184 ) . —The installation of Bro . G . A . Trotter , of fche Zetland Lodge , Hong Kong , as W . M . of this Lodge , Avas performed on the evening of January 7 th , in his usual impressive and delightful maimer , by Bro . W . Evans , of Great Queenstreet , fco eulogize Avhom would be superfluous , so well known and so hi ghly respected as he is by the Craft in general , and Adam ' s ZioAge in particular . The remembrance of fche eA'ening ' s ceremonies
Avill long dwell in the memories of the Brethren Avho Avere present . Such performances of the ceremonies as were then witnessed , cannot fail to expand and raise the ideas of Masonry , ancl contribute to the full knoAvledge of its duties and requirements . The neAvl y installed AV . M . is a distinguished Mason , well informed and intelligent in all the leading princi ples and minute particulars of the Order ; and when
be has matured and confirmed these during his residence in England , we are satisfied he will not fail to give them that attention when he locates at Hong Kong , that their influence and benefits may be spread over the land of the stranger . The evening terminated with a banquet , over which the AV . M . presided ; the usual Masonic toasts were proposed and received Avith satisfaction , and the whole passed oft" Avith hearty good wishes from all for all .
The Lodge is in a very good condition and in fair Avorking order , and although in a rather out-of-the-way place , yet Brethren will meet with a real Masonic reception , should business or pleasure call fchem here . The forthcoming Annual ProAincial Meeting will be held here in June , when we hope to see Aisitors from the metropolis , UOAV the means of reaching Sheerness are so many and so expeditious .

George ' s Lodge of Harmony ( No . 35 ) . —The celebration of the one hundredth anniversary of the establishment of this highly influential , respectable , and excellentlyconducted Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons , and which is one of the oldest in the Provinceswas held on Wednesday
even-, ing , Jan . 25 th , the regular Lodge night , at the Adelphi Hotel , Liverpool ; and it being also the night appointed for the installation of the W . M . Elect for the ensuing year , Bro . C . Verelst , architect , Avho is Avell esteemed b y the Craft at large , there was a very numerous attendance of the subscribing Brethren and visitors .
