intermission—an honour which few men can boast of : I know of none , except the Most AVorshipful Grand Master and Grand = Secretary . " This is the third time I have had the pleasure of appearing before you to thank you for favours conferred upon me . On the" 19 th August , 1834 , you presented me with a silver pen , as a token of your approval of my conduct as your secretary .
