Hunter said , that it was with feelings of the highest gratification that he had witnessed the result of the days proceedings ; it was a doubly auspicious moment that they had been assembled—on the birth-day of a Princess , as exalted by her virtues , as being the heiress of the throne
of the British Empire . ( Cheers . ) His Majesty ' s mail , lie had no doubt , would , ere long , be whizzing past the windows there , direct from London , and thus , Carnoustie and Alctoria would become commercial cities , forming the centre of two railroads . and as a nobleman who is universally esteemed .
