fortunate enough to obtain tickets of admission enjoyed a rich musical treat , to which Miss Birch , Miss E . Birch , Mrs . A . Newton , Mr . Genge , Mr . Novello , Mr . Lawler , and Mr . Blewitt , contributed with much success .
ROYAL BENEVOLENT ANNUITY FUND . The annual general meeting was held at Freemason ' s Hall , London , on Friday , the 17 th day of May , 1850 , the Right Hon . the Earl of Zetland , M . W . G . M ., President , in the Chair ; the minutes of the Annual General Meeting on the 18 th May , 1 S 49 , were read and approved . By the report from the auditors , read and ordered to be entered on the minutes , it appeared that the receipts amounted to 1 , 814 / . 5 * . 2 d ., and the disbursements to 1
, 421 / . 15 s . lOd . ; leaving a balance in the hands of the Treasurer , of 422 / . 9 s . 4 d . The report of the Committee of Management intimated that the Charity continues to receive the support of the Fraternity , which has enabled the Committee to increase the funded property by the sum of 375 / ., 3 per cents ., making the present amount of stock , 5 , 775 / . The number of annuitants in May , 1 S 49 , was forty-nine ; tbe aggregate amount of their annuities being 963 / . : of that number six have since diedand
, one has been discontinued , leaving forty-two to receive amongst them 82 S / . Eight were elected on this occasion . After giving a full and detailed statement of the funds , and of the Institution , the Committee urge their Brethren to increased exertion , not merely to sustain the present proposed number of annuitants , but greatly to increase them .
