We . shall be pleased to receive particulars of Masonic meetings for insertion in our columns , and where desired will endeavour to send a representative , to report Lodge or other proceedings . GRAFT : PROVINCIAL .
DERBY LODGE , No . 724 . rriHE annual installation meeting was held on Friday , 22 nd inst ., at the I Masonic Hall , Hope Street , Liverpool , where there was an attendance of' about 10 O Brethren , amongst whom were several prominent Provincial Grand Ledge Officers . The chair , at the opening of the proceedings , was occupied by Bro . J . H . Pritchard W . M ., who concluded a successful and popular year ' s work by installing Bro . S . Perkins as his successor .
In the course of the afternoon's proceedings a Past Master ' s jewel was presented to Bro . Pritchard in recognition of the valuable services he had rendered to the Lodge , especially during his Mastership . An excellent banquet was supplied by Bro . J . Casey .

( T 1 HIS Lodge , originally instituted , as itsname . suggests , for the accommo-JL dation of seafaring Masons , has deservedly held a position of prominence in the Craft in West Lancashire since its consecration thirty-one years ago , and the surrounding circumstances of the annual installation held ou the 4 th inst ., at the Masonic Hall , Hope Street , Liverpool , showed that it retains the vitality and popularity of its earlier years .
The chair at the opening was occupied by Bro . Daniel Boxburgh W . M ., who was supported by a lull complement of Officers , numerous members , and a large contingent of Prov . Grand Officers and visitors from sister Lodges . Bro . William Blake was duly installed in the chief chair of the Lodge by Bro . George Barclay Prov . S . G . D ., assisted by Bro . H . D . Jay P . M .
Bro . Boxburgh was presented with a valuable jewel as a mark of the esteem of the " Neptunites . " * * *
HALSEY LODGE ,. No , . 1479 , npHERE was a large assembly of members and visitors on Tuesday _ L afternoon , 29 th ult ., when , at ihe St . Albans Town Hall , the ceremony of . installing Bro . G . E . Keyser P . G . D . 1 . P . G . W . to the office of Worshipful Master took place .
The installation ceremony , which took place in the Assembly Room , was performed in an impressive manner by Bro . A . E . Smith P . M . Prov . Grand Sword Bearer , who received the hearty congratulations of the Brethren present upon the ability with which he discharged the duties devolving upon him .
After the ceremony of installation the Brethren adjourned to the Council Chamber , where , under the supervision of Mr . W . Bugler a banquet was served . Here the Prov . G . M . Bro . T . E . Halsey , M . P ., presided , supported by other Past Grand Officers , and at the close . of the repast the usual toasts were honoured .
The health of the Worshipful Master was drunk with much cordiality , and Bro . A . H . Debenham during the evening submitted in an admirable speech the health of Bro . Lieut . Lionel Halsey , of whom he spoke as a " handy man" and a " Powerful" man . Bro . Lionel Halsey . was unfortunately unable to be present , but the toast was received with the greatest enthusiasm , and the compliment was acknowledged in feeling terms by Bro T . E . Halsey , M . P . . An excellent programme of music was 7 gone through during . the evening .
HAMPSHIRE ; LODGE OF EMULATION , No , 1990 . rTIHE first installation of W . M . since the removal , of the Lodge from JL Portsmouth to Eastleigh ,. took place on Tuesday , 22 nd ult ., when Bro . E . A . Edwards P . M . was installed in succession to Bro . J . Brickwood P . P . S . G . W ., who had filled the office of W . M , for two years . in succession , and who most admirably conducted the ceremony .
The Prov . G . M ; Bro . the Right Hon . W . W . B . Beach , M . P ., had signified his . intention , to be present , but at the last moment was detained in London . Bro . Brickwood was heartily thanked for , the . able manner in which he conducted the installation ceremony , and for his past services to the Lodge . Bro . T . H . Williams was presented with a Past Treasurer ' s jewel , and Bro . G . Williams with a Past Secretary ' s jewel on retiring irom their respective Offices . A banquet was subsequently held .
ERMINE LODGE , No . 2351 . THE annual installation took place in the Assembly Rooms , Lincoln , when Bro . J . E . S . Passmore ( Gainsborough ) was installed by the Provincial Grand Master the Earl of Yarborough , assisted by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master Bro . Sissons .

DUKE OF YORK LODGE , No . 2449 . rilHE regular meeting was held at the Albion Hotel , Manchester , on _ L" Thursday , 14 th inst ., Brother A . G . Bryce I . P . M . acting as Worshipful Master , in the unavoidable absence of Bro . Mamelock , who was travelling on the continent .
After the reading and confirmation of minutes , Bro . Henry Philip Naylor was passed to the degree of P . O ., this being succeeded by the raising of Bro . Robert Brownridge to the sublime degree of M . M ., both ceremonies being performed by Bro . Bryce I . P . M . The festive board succeeded , and was very pleasant , several Brethren contributing to the harmony . * * *

G ., for their future weekly meetings , and considering the unfavourable weather there was a good meeting there on Monday last , at 6 . 30 , when we had the pleasure of seeing Bro . W . A . Haskins in the chair , with Bros . Y . Bolton S . W ., H . A . Woodington J . W ., H . Hill P . M . Prec , S . W .
Cropper Sec , J . Wynman S . D ., J . J . Skellorn I . G ., D . L . Cropper , and others . The W . M . rehearsed the ceremony of initiation , with Bro . D . L . Cropper as the candidate . We compliment Bro . Haskins on the able manner in which he rendered the ceremony , including the ancient charge . The Lodge was opened in Ihe second degree , and the first section of the lecture was worked by the worthy Preceptor Bro . Hill . This being ended the Lodge was resumed to the first degree , and Bro . H . A . Woodington was elected W . M . for Monday next .
Bro . Hill proposed that a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the able manner in which the W . M . had fulfilled the duties of the chair for the first time , which compliment was highly appreciated and acknowledged .

Preceptor of the Eriars Lodge of Instruction in the chair , with the following assistants : Bros . B . Gibbard S . W ., J . Cohn J . W ., T . Cowell P . M . Preceptor , W . H . Latham W . M . 1962 Treasurer , D . McNich P . M . Sec ., J . Henshaw S . D ., J . George J . D ., G . Stock I . G ., J . Mahony , Haines , T . Andrews , W . Jackson , and J . Wynman .
Lodge was advanced to the second degree , when Bro . Andrews answered the questions and was entrusted . Lodge was advanced , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed , including the ancient charge . The excellent working o £ Bro . L . DaCosta being so well known requires no compliment on our part , his performance was indeed worthy of his reputation . After the ceremony the W . M . resumed to the first degree , and with the support of Bro . Cowell Preceptor proceeded to work the fourth section of the lecture . "

DaGosta appointed to preside on Thursday next .
A letter was read from Bro . Joseph Abrahams W . M . of the Mother Lodge , thanking the W . M . and Brethren for their kind sympathy . He was pleased to say he was greatly improving in health . Bro . Phillips also thanked the W . M . for the letter of condolence sent by the Brethren on the death of his mother .
