ON Wednesday , the 12 th inst ., Bro . Edward Trigga was installed , at Anderton ' s Hotel , as Worshipful Master . The ceremony was performed by Bro . Weeks P . M . The retiring W . M . Bro . H . L . W . Hobbs was presented with a handsome jewel . A banquet followed , Bro . Triggs presiding .

CAPPER LODGE , No . 1076 .

THE installation meeting took place at the Guildhall Tavern , Greaham-street , City , on Thursday , the 13 th inst ., when Bro . James Tytheridge was installed . The Officers appointed were : — Bros . A . T . Dale I . P . M ., W . L . Crow S . W ., J . H . White J . W ., J . Dorton P . M . Treasurer , W . H . Ware Hon . Secretary , F . C . Ward S . D ., C . R . Sayers J . D ., J . F . Oates I . G ., 0 . R . Higgins Dir . of Cers .,

T . H . Maple and H . W . Lea Stewards , M . Sherarn Organist . Bro . A . T . Dale , the retiring W . M ., officiated as Installing Officer , and was presented with a handsome Past Master ' s jewel , and it was also resolved that a vote of thanks to him be recorded on the minutes of the Lodge , and a copy of the same , inscribed and illuminated on vellum , mounted and framed , be presented at the next regular meeting of the Lodge . Bro . Dale suitably returned thanks . The

long and valuable services of Bro . Past Master Dorton , as Treasurer , were recognised by the presentation to him of a handsome Treasurer ' s jewel , suitably inscribed , for which " D . 0 . D . " ( dear old Dorton ) feelingly returned thanks , and assured the brethren he should ever continue to do all he could for the prosperity and success of fche Capper Lodge . Bro . Holliday P . M . was re-elected to preside over the Lodge Charity Committee ; and after the visiting brethren had expressed their hearty good wishes , the Lodge was closed .

THE installation banquet was held , on the 27 th inst ., afc the Freemasons' Hall , Plymouth . Sixty members and visitors were present . The W . M . Bro . G . ill-health of the Prov . Grand Master ( Lord Ebrington ) , and hopes expressed for his early restoration . Between the toasts a capital concert was furnished by brethren , and a very pleasant evening was passed .

THE installation meeting of this influential and prosperous Lodge took place , on the 21 st inst ., afc the Masonic Hall , Great George Street , Leeds , when the wide popularity of the incoming W . M . assumed fche gavel , the Lodge Room presented an imposing

W . was elected to represent the Lodge on the Provincial Charit y Committee , and the two Wardens were elected to the local Charity Committee . The business having been disposed of , the D . P . G . M . paid a graceful and well deserved tribute to the manner in which tbe Installing Master ( Bro . J . Arthur Godwin ) had discharged his

onerous duties , and complimented the Lodge on its new W . M . and his selection of Officer ? . An adjournment was then made to the Banqueting Hall , where a recherche repast was served . The tables wore beautifully decorated . After dinner a long toast list was gone through , interspersed with songs , and thus was brought to a close one of the most successful gatherings in the history of the Zetland Lodge .

and J . Mills 1705 , & o . The Lodge being opened , and formalities dnly observed , Bros . Gadsdon and Lane were admitted to the degree of Fellow Craft . Bros . Bartlett and W . Flint were , after examination , raised to the degree of M . M . The Secretary read several

letters , among them one referring to the widow of a deceased brother , and she was voted a sum for her immediate needs . Other business having been done , the Lodge closed , and the brethren adjourned to music aud harmony .

THE regular meeting of this Lodge was held at the Bromley Vestry Hall , Bow Road , on the 18 th inst . , In the unavoidable absence of the W . M . Bro . A . Peterken P . M . presided . Davis were raised , and Bro . J . Liell advanced . The Bye-laws having been read , the election of W . M . for 1891 was proceeded with , and the unanimous vote of the brethren was in favour of Bro . Ben Johnson S . W . Bro .

John Collier was alto nnanimonsly re-elected Treasnrer . The usual P . M . 's jewel was voted to Bro . Toole , the retiring W . M . Application to remove tbe Lodge of Instruction to the Bromley Vestry Hall was made by Bro . Mead , and unanimously agreed to , the brethren speak , ing a word of praise to the Vestry for granting the permission to

assemble there every Wednesday evening at 8 p . m . A vote of sympathy with Bro . White , whose son is dangerously ill , was passed . The Lodge was then duly closed , and the brethren adjourned for refreshment , when the usual Masonio toasts were proposed and appropriately responded to .

Emblematic Lodge of Instruction , No . 1321 . —The usual weekly meeting was held , for the first time , at the Restaurant , St . Patrickson and Bromley offered themselves as candidates to be raised , and they were examined and entrusted . The Lodge was opened in fche third , and the ceremony of raising rehearsed , with Bros . Patrickson and Bromley as candidates . The Lodge was resumed ; Bros . J . H . Pasmore , E . Angel ,

Geo . Lane , Robert Stebbing , W . F . Bates , and Robert Shaw were unanimously elected members . A complete set of working tools , in a box , was presented to the Lodge by Bro . Joseph Greenway Preceptor , whilst Bro . VV . O . Welsford presented , for the use of the members , the emblems of the third degree . A hearty vote of thanks was thereupon unanimously passed to these brethren . Nothing further offering , the Lodge was closed .

Langton Lodge of Instruction , No . 1673 . —A meeting was held , on the 20 th inst ., at the White Hart , Abohcrch Lane , E . G . Present : —Bros . Marshall Preceptor , Mapleton W . M ., Smiles S . W ., Lea Smith J . W ., Fraser Treasurer and acting Secretary , Woodroffe S . D ., Voisey J . D ., Barnett I . G ., Williame , Walker , Hobbs , De Paiva , Dent and Gordon Smith . The Lodge was opened

und the minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed . Lodge vvas advanced , and the ceremony of passing rehearsed , and explanation of the tracing board given , Bro . De Paiva acting as candidate . Lodge waa resumed . Later on Bro . Smiles was elected W . M . for the next meeting , and he gave notice that tho ceremony of raising would

be rehearsed . It was decided that tho arrangements for the annual Festival , to be held on tho 18 ih December , be left in the hands of ihe Secretary . The Logdge was then closed . The Lodge was opened in the

second degree . The first section of the second lecture was worked by the Preceptor Bro . Greenway , the questions being answered by the brethren in rotation . Bro . Patrickson and Bromley offered themselves as candidates to be raised , and they were examined and entrusted . The Lodge was opened in fche third , and the ceremony of raising rehearsed , with Bros . Patrickson and Bromley as candidates . The Lodge was resumed ; Bros . J . H . Pasmore , E . Angel ,

Geo . Lane , Robert Stebbing , W . F . Bates , and Robert Shaw were unanimously elected members . A complete set of working tools , in a box , was presented to the Lodge by Bro . Joseph Greenway Preceptor , whilst Bro . VV . O . Welsford presented , for the use of the members , the emblems of the third degree . A hearty vote of thanks was thereupon unanimously passed to these brethren . Nothing further offering , the Lodge was closed .

Langton Lodge of Instruction , No . 1673 . —A meeting was held , on the 20 th inst ., at the White Hart , Abohcrch Lane , E . G . Present : —Bros . Marshall Preceptor , Mapleton W . M ., Smiles S . W ., Lea Smith J . W ., Fraser Treasurer and acting Secretary , Woodroffe S . D ., Voisey J . D ., Barnett I . G ., Williame , Walker , Hobbs , De Paiva , Dent and Gordon Smith . The Lodge was opened

und the minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed . Lodge vvas advanced , and the ceremony of passing rehearsed , and explanation of the tracing board given , Bro . De Paiva acting as candidate . Lodge waa resumed . Later on Bro . Smiles was elected W . M . for the next meeting , and he gave notice that tho ceremony of raising would

be rehearsed . It was decided that tho arrangements for the annual Festival , to be held on tho 18 ih December , be left in the hands of ihe Secretary . The Logdge was then closed . The usual mouthly meeting of the Second Langton Benevolent Association was iifterwads held , and ballots were drawn by Bros . Fearoz and Mapleton .
